PSP games for in between class

Archibald's Adventures Brilliant 2D puzzle-platformer that I've been playing on and off the past few months. Great puzzles/level design, and almost 200 levels!

Non-Violent Game Idea: Puppies in Hell

To me it feels too much of a superficial change. You've taken out the violence, but it's still basically just combat (the focus of 99% of games outside of the Puzzle genre). It's just another step past the removal of blood and dismemberment from the Australian version of L4D2. Hang on, I just...

GOG holiday sale, which game(s) should I get?

I so far bought: Another World Fahrenheit FreeSpace FreeSpace 2 Outcast Sacrifice Wing Commander 3 I would have bought BGE and Psychonauts if I didn't already own them on Steam.

Poll: Which game are YOU getting/got this november?

It hasn't been mentioned yet, so I'll give some (hopefully not misplaced) love to Telltale's Jurassic Park: The Game. I loved their Sam & Max games, and I loved Jurassic Park as a kid, so I'm somewhat sold. I'll just see what the reviews are like first...

    Favorite trope?

Always had a fondness for "Tim Taylor Technology" for some reason.

    My job vs my conscience

I more or less find myself in the same boat. I'm thinking what I'm going to do career-wise after completing my degree majoring in Pharmacology. In the last year I've only started to awaken to the unethical drug-testing most of the big Pharmaceutical companies perform on 3rd world patients, often...

Most shocking twist or ending to a game?

Does it count if the twist came some time before the ending? If so, my favourites are: Sam & Max: The Devils Playhouse (and season 2) Second Sight God of War Eversion Beyond Good & Evil Psychonauts I'd reveal the twists, but I'm not a fan of spoilers.

Zero Punctuation: Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Only just thought of this: was this Yahtzee's 200th Zero Punctuation? It would be quite apt considering his 100th...

    Zero Punctuation: Deus Ex

Once again Yahtzee continues his trend of retrospectively reviewing games that have been name-dropped in several past reviews. And I had my money on Beyond Good & Evil for the 3rd time in a row.

Let's disscuss something postive: Your guilty pleasure games and movies.

South Park Rally. That game got me through my HSC.

What is the best indie game you have ever played? And who was the developer?

It took me a few restarts myself, and an FAQ, but once I got past those early stages I loved it.

Worst game PURCHASE you ever made.

My computer is just too old and crappy for it. Sadly I've yet to learn my lesson: I still have Portal 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum and both Mass Effects (just to name a few) sitting in my Steam Library waiting for a better computer.

What is the best indie game you have ever played? And who was the developer?

The Void. Not the 'best' Indie game I've ever played, but by far my favourite. Made by Ice-Lodge Lodge, a team of 8 Russians who've only made 3 games to date. Sure it has some rough edges, but it has a fantastic atmosphere and aesthetic, and the gameplay is unlike anything I've ever experienced.

Worst game PURCHASE you ever made.

GTAIV. Bought it for $30 a couple years back thinking it was a bargain, only to spend hours going through the Games for Windows Live bullshit AND THEN find out the game won't run properly.

    Poll: Battlestar vs. Stargate

To echo a few points earlier on, it's apples and oranges. Yes, both are scifi (and SyFy), but they're doing different things. SG1 is going for fun; BSG for drama. In a nutshell, SG1 can get away with episodes like Window of Opportunity and 200, so it's near impossible to compare the two. BSG is...
