I prefer linear. To me games with too much open world (i.e. the Grand Theft Auto series) feel more like toys to me than anything else: fun to play around with, but not much of a point. There's nothing I love more than good storytelling, and generally that goes along with a more linear game...

Because game quality, like the quality of all art, is measured subjectively. You might think its bad, but a lot of other people, including the developers, don't. There a very few works of art out there without some sort of fan base.

I work a food service job right now and grab bits of food to snack on while I'm on the clock. Everyone does, and the managers know, they just don't really care.
