there are many different opinions on all of the final fantasy games, espetialy 8 and 9, for me they were more of a transition point from the good old days to now not awful but not great. only my opinion so please dont flame me :P

im going to have to say the hardest game i've ever played is starcraft 2 on the hardest mode... im not that good at rts but damn i get raped on that mode
