There you hit on a common problem, it's still being treated like a retail purchase, on steam you can preorder and various online shops will let you preorder and it can be cheaper, if it isn't cheaper or includes something special, it's not worth the preorder.

I cannot comment for other people, but I will generally pre-order a game if it offeres something extra over the retail release, or more commonly, is cheaper than the retail release. It has to be something that I will buy and use as soon as it's available, otherwise I will generally wait for the...

Diablo 3, Portal 2 - already ordered, and probably time to get another game for the sadly neglected PS3, so maybe something there

Morrowind - I get really keen to play, then I start then I can't be bothered. Baldurs Gate - Same problem as above. Knights of the Old Republic - NFI why I've never finished it. <--- this too, stupid real life cutting into games time

I hope it does well. I probably wont play it, but it would be nice to see another MMO succeed. Maybe then developers will stop trying to launch with a WoW killer and use some f****ng imagination instead of releasing a stream of games that seem like no more than skinned WoW clones, and then...

Definately agree on the Crusader game, Dungeon Keeper and Syndicate. I would also like to see X-Wing vs Tie, and Alpha Centauri. Yes they can run without too much pain, but it's not as convienient

Australian Army - yes I have fired a few, in and out of the Army. or those that have guns, I hope you are never in the position of having to shoot at someone, or treat someone who has been shot. It's something you'll never forget, and not fun.

Left 4 Dead, when I finally survived the No Mercy campaign, seeing the horde swarming over my fallen mate as the chopper took of was a very bittersweet moment.
