I don't understand the need for a "timeline" in Link. It's like asking for the Super Mario Bros. series to be chronological, or every movie an actor makes to be related, regardless of the franchise itself. Why can't it just be about Link, Gannon, Zelda and the eternal fight of Good vs Evil?

I'm sure hundreds of years ago people had these exact same arguments about bird and plant life. Now it comes to video games. I really like the idea of classifying games academically, it makes perfect sense.

Its more of a response to piracy than a genre choice. Essentially the game is free now (you can download the whole WoW client, for instance) but the privledge to use the servers costs you!

Mount and Blade, I support TaleWorlds 100% and have both Mount and Blade and Warband. It is an incredible game, I love it. That and Medieval: Total War. :)

Is this survey based on FPS games only? If it is, then I'd probably choose Stealthy. My favourite game to play, FPS-wise is old Wolf:ET. I'm a Covert Ops! And I love stealing a Nazi uniform and sneaking to the back of the base, detecting mines and avoiding capture and randomly causing...

An open world like Saints Row, GTA or Red Dead ... but set in historical medieval times. No healing potions (but chiurgery), no monsters (just bandits / rivals / kingdoms) and so on. Mud and hunger are your enemies, and your sword is your best item! Huzzah!
