So uhm yeah. How exactly is someone offing themself in public something that is a US thing? How does the presence of a gun seem to make any sort of difference in the suicide rate. This was the action of someone who was mentally unstable (either by nature or by nurture) crying out for violently for attention to what ever brought them to that point. That happens every where on the globe.
Edit: Also, its not entirely abnormal for grades usually stopping at 7 to attend an elementary school. There are several school systems across the US where the in district structure for whatever reason runs K-7 and HS runs 8-12. Usually in older schools where the facilities only had two campus sites. Typically in older communities, usually in poorer communities. Its certainly not common, but it is not unheard of.(a variant I saw of it in Ky for example had elementary school consisting of k-7, middle school consisting of 8-9, and HS consisting of 10-12)
