This woman seriously misrepresents my approach towards men. Maybe thats why I don't get dates much.
So this list and your comments really just made me go 'Sigh, and yet you'll pick the ***** who acts that way over the one who doesn't every, single, time'

And then remembered that given that, I don't have to deal with this emotional rollercoaster of fail. And then all was good.

Ha ha haha haaa.

Ugh, it's this sort of thing that makes me glad that I'm A) terminally single and B) socially retarded so I don't have to deal with this sort of rubbish. I mean, really, is this honestly what women are telling men these days? Really? How the hell are you bastards supposed to win when we can't even make up our freakin' minds what we want from you?

Wait.

So hunting mammoth isn't attractive anymore? When did that happen? Why didn't anyone tell me?

Making fire is still cool, right?
No their past that its all about the "Wheel" now.
Wheel? Probably just a fad.
Women like my iron spear right?

(that a joke on the iron age not sexual)

You can't believe how happy I was to simultainiously have ovaries and laugh at all that stupid stuff in the list. Yes! For not being a complete psychopathic bitchwhore.

But seriously, some of that stuff is super moronic, surely everyone can see not all girls are like that? It's just cliche bollocks. GIRLS LIKE CHOCOLATE AND HUGS AND BOYS TO DO EVERYTHING AND ARE BITCHY AND INSECURE! Uh, no not all of them.

I resent the implication that all women are the same. Both the article writer and some of the commenters make it.
I agree, OP and article seemed to be basing too much on their experience. Not quite common enough practices to assume that everyone will have come across. Still, the commentary amused me.

suggestions such as buying a dress intentionally too small for her and acting all innocent and disappointed when she can't fit it.
I know it's wrong, but this sounds like awesome advice.
Honest alternative, if you're not just going to accept your partner the way they are, is:
"I adore you, I love spending time with you, I'm happy and attracted to you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you...but do you think you could lose a little weight? Maybe take up jogging or something, I don't know, just a thought."

After making a request like this I give a relationship a 50-50 shot, sometimes honesty is just not the best policy. :)

British myself, but yeah I believe they're just TV-hard drive recorders much like our Sky+ box.

we are the givers of life, so we can be as messed up as we damn well want.
You put seeds in dirt to make stuff grow too, but you don't see pots of dirt spewing crazy all over the place.
Lol, better than the rant of an OP. I agree with some of his points, and blame the media.

My response to the entire OP:

Thank the Goddess I'm gay.

I could go into why my brain gigglesnorted that, but I can just sum it up with this: The day that all women are insecure about their bodies is the day that I am a man.
Eh? I thought most women were insecure about their bodies? Or is that just me?

Awesome post. Read it all.

I agree with the points on the pressure to be "Hooking Up". I have a girlfriend, but not because I went out of my way to get one. I think if you go out 'hunting' for someone to be with, you're only going to end up with someone just as desperate as yourself, and that can never work. So just chill out and be happy and whatever happens, happens.

So... essentially women are either screwing with us all the time or they really dont know what they want in life. From my experience its probably the former

That was one of the funniest reads I've seen on this website.

Applause for the OP.

And if you're offended, get a sense of humour.

Most of these kinda advice articles are bullshit because they rely on generalisation, and for those of you unaware: there is variation between people.

Wow, that list actually made me lose some respect for some of the women that made it up. Since you all seem to enjoy this so much, here [http://www.esquire.com/women/10-things-you-dont-know-about-women/relationship-advice-for-men/?link=rel&dom=msn&src=syn&con=slide&mag=esq] is a more extensive list of 76 "tips" (although it's actually more like 60, since 20% are ads and it also includes the 27 already posted).
