..Yeah, Transformers Michael Bay style turned itself off to me at Revenge of the Fail. This one looks no better.

And is it just me, or does the new Mikaela just look really out of place in that scene..?

You fucks want to know something? You're just bitching over the latest popular thing. It's a fun movie, put your criticism out of your mind, lean back, and enjoy watching giant robots blow each other to hell. That's why people enjoy this film, why can't you people?

Yeah, we "fucks" just like substance in our movies. And when a brainless action film like Michael Bay's Transformers attempts to make us take it seriously, then there is something very wrong with that image.

Get over it. Just because many people watch it and it is popular with those people, does not remove it from criticism. Not when it tries to take itself seriously, that is.

I dunno, everyone I know is pissed off because there isnt enough about the transformers, not megan "ooh look at me I'm soooo sexy" fox and FUCKING shia lebouf trying to get jiggy with each other, robot testicles or annoying racial stereotypes like skid and mudflaps. They annoy me because it's not about the transformers fighting decepticons really, they're more of a framing device for Shia and Megan to get it on more than anything. I would be perfectly happy if the plot was no more complicated than your average super hero movie, i just want to see Robots damn it!

The robots are badly and overdesigned, the cinematography is badly done, alongside the fact that everything is too much of a clusterfuck, it's just badly directed, sure I could live with the human characters if they were side characters, with the robots as the focus, as opposed to the way it is now, and if it was less messy, it would be easier and more exciting to watch.

In direct response to the OP, I'm not looking forward to it because Michael Bay says he wants to move the focus more to the humans, which means it wont be about robots beating the crap out of each other.

Thank you! You said it perfectly. I couldn't sit through the second one. I know their action movies but the robots are such a mess changing and it looks so obviously fake that I couldn't do it. Bay puts waaay too much focus on the military, these are freaking robot cars! I don't get why we would want to watch some tanks and soldiers when I could look at cars turning into robots and fighting.

Michael Bay is easily the worst director working in Hollywood today. Anyone who actually enjoys his movies obviously doesn't know what a good action movie entails: Interesting characters in exciting situations. Not Shia LeBitch screaming at a green screen for 2 and a half hours. And don't give that, "Oh dude it's just a popcorn movie it doesn't have to be good." Movies like this are not popcorn movies, they're just horrible movies.

what about M. Night Shamalamadingdong? Ya know...the guy who's last good movie was probally close to 10 years ago or something.

But this looks like it was backed up enough to not be a pile of shit. My main complaint was it was too close to see the action propperly

I can't take an advert titled "Dark of the Moon" seriously, I just can't do it...still, if it's like the second one I will be annoyed but if it's a little more like the first one, it might be worth a look....if just for the distraction quality.

Sounds like the next installment in the twilight franchise. The vampire divorce.

and I really really liked the first movie!

sure the art direction and CG was better than ever
but I stopped caring and even the action scenes got boring (I'm also the kinda person who likes big explosions usually too)

I don't get the hatred for these films. Did you people honestly go to TWO of these movies expecting deep plots and moving characters?

Saying these movies are bad because they're all actiony and over the top is like saying Casablanca is bad because it's too focused on romance. Duh, that's the point!

They never promise anything other than insane over-the-top robot deathmatches and if you expected anything more from them, frankly you're an idiot.

I'm probably going to go see this movie for what it is: a brainless action movie where you watch huge CGI robots rip each other to shreds. I doubt it'll be amazing but it should at least cover that.
