Let us see here:
Just about any other industrialized country:
Get free emergency care, meds, check ups, surgeries, treatments, hospital stays and illness/maternity leave covered by that all too terrifying "Socialized Health Care," done by paying (LE GASP!) increased taxes! (dun Dun DUNNNN).
ooOOOooOOooOOoooo it's sooooo scary!
America:
Pay massive corporations a fairly decent size of your paycheck (assuming you're not part of the top 2% controlling most of the wealth) to get 'insurance' in case you get sick. Then, get sick and the corporation will try to find any excuse not to pay for your issues, whether it be labeling the treatment as "experimental" (as in calling liver transplants that have been used for 20+ years "experimental") or strip-searching your medical history for any inkling of missed illness that gets your coverage revoked immediately and permanently, and gives the corporation legal right to reclaim all the money they paid for your treatment.
This capitalist system is all fine and dandy and will make sure everyone in America is healthy.
Now tell me honestly, which one sounds scarier?
Insurance companies are licensed to kill. They can deny you a treatment that will save your life and cannot be tried for murder. You're taking a huge gamble with the American system.
Fox News is the least credible of sources around. They switch the party designations around when Republicans do something stupid, instead placing (D) behind names that rightfully bear an (R) in an attempt to make their viewers think "It was the Democrats!" The level of bias in FOX and MSNBC is horrific, which is why I look to the BBC for my news. And I'm American. And if that fails, then CNN.
Fox also had the good idea to cancel Firefly. I will never forgive them.
