OT: I dont know, Halo was the first FPS I ever played so I dont really know what it was like before it.

A world without halo would mean we wouldn't have well controlling vehicles in FPSes. The genre would be at the mercy of valve and ruined even further until ids glorious return.

Umm... I don't know. Fan boys would find something else to buttfuck and we wouldn't have every single FPS about space marines and aliens. I wouldn't have a reason to actually consider getting xbox live but I'd still have my console. So not much would be different I guess in terms of the world.

The reason xbox become a success was because of the success of halo 1 and 2.
Halo was the jumpstart needed for the xbox to become successful . just like Mario.

yea Halo 1 made xbox and microsoft a success

Mario and Zelda made Nitendo a success

idk much about Playstaion systems or Sonys greatest success
