I was going through the list of all my 360 achievements, and came a cross a couple achievements that i saw too often. One of them was jump a car X number of feet. There's also: climb to the top of the tallest thing, jumping off is optional; collectables, but 1/4 of my play time on some games; and kill unreasonabley large X of enemy Y.

Anyone else getting tired of some a certian kind of achievement

Yes. The one where you have to play the game again on a harder difficulty to get this trophy/achievement. I will, but, you don't have to make it seem like a chore.

By the time I was done with most of the "Kill x amount of enemies with force attack x" in The Force Unleashed, you can bet your ass I didn't want to see another trophy for weeks.

There are two kinds of trophies I hate.

1. The trophies you have two of a kind or more of in a game.

Essentially what I was talking about when referring to The Force Unleashed. Having to kill X amount of enemies with weapon 1, then do it all again with weapon 2.

Games guilty of this also include the Uncharted series.

2. Multiplayer exclusive trophies.

Now, I don't hate that they are multiplayer. I hate that they are a requirement to get a platinum trophy.

I'm a single player kinda guy, and it annoys me when I can't get the feeling of 100% a game because I don't play the online.

The most recent perpetrator of this is Red Dead. I 100% single player, yet it will never be 100% when I look at my trophy-list. Douchebags.

Couldn't they have made a system where if you want more trophies you can pick some option that allows you to get them, so that single player focused people can get a platinum simply by not picking this option?

I mean, what if they released trophies for DLC to a game that hindered you from getting platinum until you got the DLC and got the trophies? It would suck. And so does this.

I'm getting tired of joke achievements that are actually worth something, or achievements for doing something extremely trivial.

-Play a round of multiplayer
-Go through tutotrial
-Press start

I thought achievement implied you did something meaningdful, not doing some sort of gimmick or utilizing some feature in a game. It makes me sick to see these sorts of "achievements" in games just to round out the 1000Gs. Why not jsut make the real achievements worth more?

Beating each individual mission on the hardest difficulty setting. Why can't there just be one big one? You're wasting space for creative achievements.

Borderlands does this in a way. It adds the DLC trophies into the overall percentage. So while I have the Platinum trophy for it, I only have 68% of the trophies. I hate seeing that because it makes me feel like there is so much that I'm missing.

For me it's: Complete Level X, Complete Level Y, Complete Level Z, Complete Level X on (insert hardest difficulty), so on and so forth.

Ah yes, I know of that.

You know, when I first saw that I thought that I actually had to buy the DLC to get platinum. I searched desperately for answers on the internet for other options, until someone finally told me that they didn't mean anything until I actually bought the DLC.

Damn, you beat me to it. I especially hate crap in multiplayer that requires some cooperation to have a reasonable chance to achieve it (i.e. kill 3 people with 1 bullet or something along those lines). Even if you get your friends together for it, it's still like herding cats, and then getting the actual achievement just feel hollow.

Damn, that sucks. I was resolute on not getting the DLC so I was just trying to get the trophies that I could when all of a sudden I got the platinum. Since then, I've seen no reason to get the DLC. They say they added weapons, but do I really care seeing as there are supposed to be millions of weapons alread?

I only hate the Beat level on Hardest difficulty, When they don't even allow you to choose the hardest difficulty from the start. Thats just tedious. I'm already sick of most games that do this by the time I beat them the first time through. Don't make me sit there through another 6 to 12 hours of my life doing something I could've done already.

I also hate RPG achievements. They always have some ridiculous requirements that aren't even necessary. Look at any Square Enix games achievements and you'll understand. And there are the impossible ones that you don't even wanna get like the Battle trophy achievements for Star Ocean 4.

Collectables. I hate collecting useless stuff, like enemy intel in CoD or feathers in Assassin's Creed 2. But because game developers find digging dumpsters in the middle of a warzone relevant, I think we'll never get rid of them.

Also, completing the game on the hardest difficulty, that you unlock after you complete your first playthrough. I always play on the highest difficulty setting, so I find it really annoying that they hide it from me until I've completed the game once.
