I'm an adult. Almost 22 years old, living half a country away from my parents with a decent debt owed to my credit card and an empty wallet and keys and, yes, most of the rest of the shebang as well.

[small]...shebang? Really? Why not go all the way with 90's slang and say Boom-Shaka-Laka as well?[/small]

There are more adults on here than I originally thought.

I, for one, am 16 (in 6 days), and believe myself to be a little more mature than alot of my friends that are my age.

[sup]That sounds arrogant doesn't it? Crap...[/sup]

I'm new here and have only been posting for a few days. Today I checked out a few profiles and noticed most of the people here are in their teens. Now I'm starting to feel like a weirdo for being here. Are there any grown-ups here? (By grown-up I mean independent, living apart from your parents, credit cards, keys, the whole shebang.)
nope and there are even a few Canuckians here too

We're certainly more political than average teenager.

Politics high five (its Christmas, the season to put differences aside and such)

OT:

As I'm sure you gathered, I'm a teenager too. Pretty much all my friends here are as well, but I've talked to people with spouses and kids here.

I'm 16, so I'm still in high school. Like to think that I'm more intellectual and mature than the average teen though.

I'm what you might call an adult. 24, just graduated college, had to move back in with the folks until I can get a job and pay off some of my debt but otherwise I generally qualify as an adult. There's a lot of teenagers on these forums but the more active members are surprisingly mature.

[HEADING=2]ATTENTION "ADULTS"[/HEADING]

Do I have your attention? Good.

Do you lot realise how many of you "adults" have flamed/laughed at Demented Teddy for claiming that we teenagers on here are maturer than the average teenager?
Do you think we'd still be here if we weren't? No, we'd be banned with the trolls and other idiots.

You mightn't have noticed, but when you read someone's post on these forums, you can't tell whether they are a teenager or an adult. And if we aren't mature, what does that say about the adults? You lot must be as immature as you claim WE are.

And believe me, you're showing it.

I'm 21, but I don't consider myself an adult yet. I hold down a full time job, and live in a house with a couple of mates. I'm putting myself through college again starting next year, because I fucked up college and school when I was younger, being more rebellious and stupid than is healthy.
I don't consider myself an adult because it scares me to think that I have grown up and yet achieved so little. Although I know that's what life is actually all about, I'm not ready to admit it full on.

There are plenty of older members in there twenties on the site and I've even seen a few in there Thirties. You will find many of us in our teens (Myself included), but they I doubt that I make the majority of us.

well, i'm 20, soon to be going to school, i DO live at home, if you count renting a room at $300 a month living at home ((simply because it's the cheapest place i could find after being homeless for 4 months)). yes, my own car, have a job soon to be second job, just to pay for car insurance.

dunno if you count that, but yeah..that's me.
