yup, 20, all grown up. Living away from home most of the time. Suppose I will be an adult next year when I get a full time job and have my 'own' place.

I'm nearly 35, and probably one the oldest people here. So you shouldn't feel so weird about being here. You should feel weird for not getting here sooner!

You can put a smilely face at the end of that!
Can you tell me your cheat code?

Geez, I feel old in this place sometimes (and in relating to most of the newer gamers). I'm 25 and I still can't believe the looks of befuddlement I get when I mention "Pitfall Harry", or mention "Master Chu and the Drunkard Huu", or when I try to tell youngsters about the glory days of Sierra point and click games.

I suddenly know how Roger Wilco must feel.
Police Quest FTW! And King's Quest too, but not as much.
I prefered the Quest for Glory ones, especially 1 (the remake) and 4, man those were great! King's Quest 6 was pretty good as well though, I still remember being ripped apart by the minotaur! ^^

Anywho, 20 years old her and I think I'm gonna keep being silly and never grow up! (mentally anyways!)

Well I agree with you.

*pats on back

You kinda learn to be if you want to be accepted around these parts. And besides, living past a certain age doesn't automatically make you not a dick head.

Then again, I could just be a stupid 16 year old. :p

I'm new here and have only been posting for a few days. Today I checked out a few profiles and noticed most of the people here are in their teens. Now I'm starting to feel like a weirdo for being here. Are there any grown-ups here? (By grown-up I mean independent, living apart from your parents, credit cards, keys, the whole shebang.)
I'm 29.

Yup. I'll be 22 in a couple of weeks and have lived out of home for nearly a year and a half, about a year of that by myself. Don't worry, the average age of this site will always be around the 14-17 year old mark, but you shouldn't feel weird for being here. Just remember that some of the ideas that are thrown around are because of the fact that the majority of users are younger than us and understand they're not always going to be as mature as we'd like them to be.

Does that make me the oldest person here? At least, physically?

Mentally & socially, on the other hand ...

Oh! And for the record, I'm not one of those "living in my parents' basement 40-year-old virgin" stereotypes.

I'm married, have a full-time job and a mortgage, as well as two teen-agers of my own.

~Cheers!

I'm 21...have a full time job, am getting a part time education, own a used car that I'm making payments on, have my own insurance, cell phone bill, credit cards...

It's not the time for me to start a family, and I really can't afford to live on my own until I get a "real" job.

I pay rent to my Grandmother to live here, does that almost count? (haha)
