Yes, but do people use them in MODERN WARFARE (dun dun dunn title drop) ? And can you realistically double-wield them without breaking your arms? Can you reload such things in a split-second (while double-wielding, ofc)? That is my point.

I mean for god sakes do you think their will be people running around in Rio with RPG's blowing someone up with a riotsheild and then t-bag their body? No? This is a game kid, meaning it is not real. The "Modern" part was the fact it is set in modern times. Well so is many other games that do not have an ounce of realism. THAT is my point.

If you cannot beat 1887s then you are not understanding how they use them, use Slight 'o' hand pro and you beat them every time!

They use Bling, Akimbo+FMJ, and stopping power without those the shutguns are terrible (the akimbo ones anyway) so just play to their weaknesses. Ie dont go near them cap them from range!

That's not very viable when you're defending a headquarters or flag and they come rushing in the door blasting randomly into corners.

Dont sit in predicatable places then, try sitting ontop of a desk or a crate, they shoot at chest hight so dont be at chest hight!

In a one on one, 50/50 where you both have no cover/the same cover, you have to take the time to AIM at them, while they can just aim in your general direction and pull the trigger to get a one hit kill.

Akimbo users only get such ridiculous streaks because they run and gun and people aren't expecting it, since most players try to post up some place.

Yeah they're annoying.

But they're only game breaking if you don't change your play style once someone starts running and gunning.

Well it's impossible to duel wield shotguns. So they shouldn't be in the game, especially one called Modern Warfare.

eh again it´s called Modern warfare...not real or realistic warfare...so your title call sort of fell on it´s butt, plus realism like everything else in life is something you can have too much of.

Would a soldier ever use two shotguns? Not in his life

Does it looks awesome and sweet? In my mind I rather stick to one level action shotgun but it still has it´s charm

But in real life, they do have a decent range.

If you're going to be a search bar Nazi at least do the search yourself first in order to avoid making utterly useless contributions to threads.

except there have been at least five threads on this specifically. just because they don't show up on extremely rigid search terms doesn't mean they're not there. search modern warefare 2 shotgun.


as for the actual thread, no being able to pick off people with dual shotguns from what looks like 60ft is not broken considering everything else in that game is rediculously fucking insane. it all makes for a horrible game but it's balanced in the everything's broken to hell sorta way

As I stated earlier, the inadequacy of the search function is not the posters' problem.

What you are basically suggesting is that whenever someone starts a thread they should search every word that is remotely related to thier topic, which is frankly, ridiculous.

However, I agree with your second paragraph. The game is broken to hell to the point where it almost balances itself out.

That's truly awful. A man of Arnie's substantial build could manage it, but I'm not sure about a soldier, I'm guessing they weigh a fair bit, especially when loaded, and especially when you're holding 1 in each hand.

Arnie only ever did one, and even that was a special version, theres no way he could have fired a normal one like that.

And the guys in MW2 are doing it?!

I just assumed the might of Arnie could somehow handle a 12 gauge one handed, but I guess a special version makes sense. Just out of interest, how was it special? Was it chambered for a smaller cartridge or something?

And as far as CoD being realistic, I agree. I am of the opinion that they should have abandoned all pretensions of realism in CoD4 when you shoot down an attack helicopter with an M21.

However, that's no excuse for the akimbo shotty situation. I can suspend disbelief for the sake of drama, but when I'm being dicked on by some guy running around with a shotgun in each hand shotguns I feel as though I have a right to complain

spas 12 is the best even if 1887 is better but i think it's not... spas 12 for ever

Dual P90 RF with SP/SA tends to disagree. on hardcore, where it instakills, you can just rattle off all 100 bullets in the general area of the enemy at sniper distance and SOMETHING will connect and kill. You may run into issues on Derail but that can be solved by going prone before shooting. Ofcourse, you can still take a blinged 1887 with akimo and... whatever sounds useful, mags or fmj. No idea what attachments shotguns have, never bothered to use them over my belgian manufactured doom machines and quit the game shortly after that.

it´s still usable, some parts of the US army and some police forces still use the colt 1911 and the basic model is soon 100 years old yet still used.

simply proves just because it´s old it doesn´t mean it still don´t have it´s use on the battlefield

so far as I know the only mod beyond the obvious cutting of the stock was the level action handle was custom made to be bigger and "rounder" to help make the spin cocking motion smoother.

The game is terribly balanced, it's less balanced then any multiplayer game I've played, including mmo's which is pathetic.

Two stupidest things are the 1887s and the Knife, love a 10 meter range knife that teleport's you to your target.

Fun fact, if you halo energy sword lunge with your knife and happen to pass over a claymore. The claymore doesn't explode..

Now I didn't really take the time to read the commando perk's description entirely, but I'm pretty sure I didn't see the words "Makes claymores fucking useless"
