Hm, Possibly. Though HG:L's weapons weren't any fun to use. I only played it for an hour because my friend bought an extra copy somehow and wanted me to play it. I didn't find it fun. It is possible to make two games on the exact same premise and have one be drastically superior to the other. There is more to designing a game properly than just getting a few good ideas in place.
