Hello, fellow carbon-based humanoids. There is no need to listen to the insane carbon-based humanoid who claims that we are watched by alien lifeforms. There are no aliens. There especially are no aliens from the planet of Agralon who took control of the brains of millions of carbon-based humanoids the 4/4 2010 in a plan to take over Tellus. And if there had been, the carbon-based humanoids Barack Obama, Fredrik Reinfeldt and other leaders of Earthling nations would certainly not be among those controlled. Nor would Escapists such as Hubilub, Douk, El Poncho, Queen Michael and FargoDog be amongst them. Therefore there is no need for you... I mean us to worry.

You are an idiot.
Indubitably my good squire, indubitably!
Yes, that was a dumb comment, but I think it's seriously likely that there are other intelligent species out there. Maybe they're really far away; maybe they look and act completely different from us (maybe they live on... er, in a gas planet and can fly or something; maybe they live inside the liquid interior of an ice planet and don't even know there's space above their heads!); maybe they can't or don't want to travel through the universe; maybe they don't know anything about us. But with so many planets and things we haven't seen, there's certainly enough room for them. There is almost definitely life out there, sentient and autonomous, and if that's the case, who's to say it's not "intelligent?"
Let me introduce you to the Drake's Equation..if you are not already familiar with it.

Mr. Carl Sagan...please take it away:

Theoretically the possibility remains for at least 10 advanced civilizations to exist in our system. I am well aware of the statistical probabilities here, but as a jaded former theoretical physics graduate I do not believe. I do not believe in the Drake Equation (for it is flawed) and I find the possibility of life in the Milky Way (that is besides us) improbable, albeit not impossible.

Advanced life maybe out there, they maybe developing as we speak..but for now, the raw data says, we are alone. I would like to be proven wrong..but I need science, i.e- observable data, to actually believe in other intelligent life forms.

Say, do you guys remeber that time about two years back when that massive alien ship made entirely out of light orbited the entire planet, showing the entire human race that we aren't alone in this universe, and then all of mankind unified and a new age of enlightenment, peace and space exploration began? Just like that medium predicted!

Me neither. I look forward to these Aliens not arriving as well =)

Now, I'm not saying Aliens don't exist. Because I personally believe that the chances we are alone in this universe are basically zero. It's been all but proven life exists on planets other than earth, and judging by the size of universe, that means there must be other intelligent life. But in my mind, anything involving "channellers", "mediums", "psionics" or any other crap like that, can be ignored.

All I got from his writing is, "Blah blah blah I'm completely insane blah blah blah." What's even sadder is that people actually believe this kind of crap.

I did lightning twice this morning on the horizon.
Apart from that, it's my typical, average, boring day.

Is it a coincidence they are coming almost a month after Halo Reach was released? OMG I know what this is, Halo Reach was a training simulator for this day, the aliens have come, Bungie knew about it all along, all the alien games up until now were training! Now the leaderboards will be searched and all the capable men and women shall fight in the biggest war ever!

Come my brothers and sisters do not be afraid take up arms and ready your teabags! For this is Earth! We don't even like sharing it with other humans screw aliens!

So you believe humans are the center of the universe...?
Dude, do you know how big the freaking universe is? I know i can't prove anything but i am 99.9% sure that there are other beings here than us.

I mean, why the hell wouldn't there be?

Sorry if I sound harsh, I just don't get why you wouldn't, I just wanna know why you don't.

Ha ha ha! Listen to the silly carbon-based humanoid who does not understand that there is no alien invasion to capture the tasty carbon-based humanoids!

Does Dublin count as a major city? Because if so then getting off Warrant Officer Grade 3 in Halo will have to wait.

I've heard about this. It sounds pretty bullshit alright. My friend did a crash course in Astronomy and did some altered version of it (can't remember if it was simplified or altered to be less flawed or whatever) but the one he did came up with 1 advanced civilisation.

OT: I want to believe this is true. I mean, there's enough (soft) evidence, right?

I actually was thinking about that equation when I made that comment. The equation itself seems pretty solid to me, theoretically. It's the estimations for the variables that come into question. And while I agree that intelligent life may be less common than the video suggests, I still think it shows that life in general, extra terrestrial animals, for instance, are very likely. The thing is, I don't really "believe" in that life, I just see evidence that suggests it's probable, which is perfectly scientific. What's the "raw data" you mention? That could change my mind.
