not what i meant by it T.T. the QTE´s against her (Dante´ Inferno) are just so annoying, since they are all done with the left c. stick and some of the movements you have to do with it are very long compared to the fact that you have about 0.3 seconds for each one.Adrimor said:Isn't that kind of the idea? :VChristemo said:fuck you, Cleopatra, you horny ****...
It's essentially the same tool.JediMB said:It's roughly the equivalent of referring to a movie as a cutscene.Adrimor said:Does anybody actually believe this besides you? :VJediMB said:Okay, Dragon's Lair and other FMV Games (and the like) don't really count. "Quick Time Event" suggests that it's just a quick event that comes in between other kinds of gameplay.
RE4 was my first experience with quick time events too and that game did well with them. They could have had less impact, but well, the game was great and I enjoyed all of it. Later I had the pleasure to see it in a fair amount of games and more and more of them because "they are so cool!" They are refreshing when you first see them, but after dying 3 or 4 times because you were a bit too late pressing a button at a time you though you were safe because there was a cutscene it gets lame.Syntax Error said:For me, my first encounter (that I could recall off the top of my head, anyway) with QTE's was with Resident Evil 4. Now, being a moderate fan of the numbered RE's I thought the QTE's in that game was a good way of increasing the tension, that sense of dread while playing (it is an RE game, after all). I'll admit, dying mid-cutscene was pretty embarrassing.
