This and this, especially the second one. Words cannot express the amount of emotional investment I had in Tales of Symphonia; there were a lot of "oh snap" moments throughout that game that really caught me off-guard. It's actually to the point that I have trouble playing it a second time because now everything is "spoiled".MellowFellow said:The Kotor plot twist is easily my favorite, because on your first play through it seems like it came out of nowhere, but the cutscene shows they have been eluding to it for awhile in the game.
I also like the twist in Tales of Symphonia, where you learn the truth about the chosen and world regeneration. It makes you think this is a pretty messed up world you are in.

Anyone who's played the game knows what I'm talking about, and even some who haven't, but I still won't talk about it here, because I don't want to ruin it for those who haven't played it.would you kindly?
Actually, I can't, your avatar is a tiny image of a clusterfuck.CollectiveCynic said:You can tell by my avatar what my favorite video game plot twist is.
Of course, the guy we have now ends up being a million times nicer than before, I think. I've yet to complete it myself so I'm not sure; just going by what I heard.GreyFox389 said:I liked the twist in Prototype.
There is no more Alex Mercer, the virus just replicated his body. The real Alex Mercer was the one who released the virus in the first place.
Six Words:GAME OV3R said:so what are your favorite arse on edge of seat plot twists?
Without my glasses, it looked like two bodies bloodied, on the ground, with a vague image of a throne in the background. Thanks for the clarification.CollectiveCynic said:Oh, come on. It's Revan from Star Wars KOTOR. Have you ever played that game? If you haven't, you missing out on a classic RPG my friend.KimberlyGoreHound said:Actually, I can't, your avatar is a tiny image of a clusterfuck.CollectiveCynic said:You can tell by my avatar what my favorite video game plot twist is.
My favourite has to be Bioshock. Either that, or Left4Dead. Calling for help at the end of the campaign actually calls ZOMBIES! GASP!
Actually, I agree, the twist in Prototype did get me by the bellend. XDGreyFox389 said:I liked the twist in Prototype.

After all your travels and fighting for his future and that of the world. Turns out the main protagonist is the main ANTAGONIST. After the 'final boss' he turns on you, turns into a mini devil and throws your entire party in a cell. He even becomes a boss fight later on. Great stuff and totally out of the blue.
