Oooooh... I do like Bottom, but I think I woud say either 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' (especially when Noel Fielding was filling in for Bill Bailey) and 'Futurama'; the futuristic setting and quirky characters means it can just NEVER get old, and its always fresh and funny.

Let's see Star Trek TNG, Battlestar Galactica (which I just got in to), Lost, Firefly, Castle, and so many others. Oh, and Mythbusters. And The Simpsons.

I'm quite fond of Rome [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0384766/], so I'll go with that.
Agreed man, Rome OWNS.

EDIT: But Law and Order: SVU owns more. I really don't know why, but after nine seasons they still entertain me even though the basic formula hasn't changed and nothing major has happened.

Futurama and Family Guy because they make me laugh.

Three Stooges for it's awesome and silly slapstick.

Mythbusters, they make science fun.

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, with commentary. It's preposterously good.

I nominate Have I Got News For You, solely for being consistently hilarious and still running.
I love it. Also Never Mind the Buzzcocks and QI. You can't beat a good panel show with a great line up (I personally like Sean Lock, Rhod Gilbert, Reginald D. Hunter, David Walliams, and Jimmy Carr. And Rob Brydon).
Love Have I Got News for you and Buzzcocks, but I think I liked it better when it was hosted by Angus Deayton and Mark Lamarr. QI is and always will be Stephen Fry.

I also really like the Charlie Brooker stuff (Screenwipe, Newswipe, Gameswipe etc...)

I am currently watching Sons of Anarchy at the minute which is rapidly shaping up to be one of my favorite shows

I can't believe that I am only seeing one other reference to one of the funniest shows ever to hit broadcast television... Arrested Development.

That was one of my favorite shows of all time. The only problem is you had to have watched it from the beginning to really get all of the jokes. I have watched all of season one countless times (enough I can quote most of it) and it STILL makes me laugh every time. If you haven't watched it you owe it to yourself to watch the series from the beginning.

Impossible question.

So I'll just list a bunch of awesome ones, in no particular order.
Futurama
House MD
Mythbusters
True Blood
M*A*S*H
Breaking Bad
Rome
Babylon 5
Buffy/Angel

However... if one has to be declared ahead of the pack, I'm going to have to go with...
Dexter

Love me some psychopathic serial killer :)

Also, while it verges on offtopic, there are some Anime series that are good and win, my favourites there are Hellsing (both the old and the new one) and Ranma 1/2.

It was more consistently good, I suppose, and they were very good presenters. I think Amstell might have been better than Lamarr, though, if a little cruel at times. Did he and Bailey dislike one another, do you know?

And yes, Mr Fry is a champion.

I also really like the Charlie Brooker stuff (Screenwipe, Newswipe, Gameswipe etc...)
Charlie Brooker is good sometimes but I haven't watched Newswipe yet. He can be a bit irritating occasionally, although it was thanks to him that I discovered the awesome Trapped in the Closet http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=/watch%3Fv%3DJV_N7i-95Nk (would embed but I'd have to create a Youtube account to verify my age, which I cannot be arsed to do, especially since I already have an account but every time I try to log in it thinks I'm my partner's mother, Lynette.)

Oh, and if I remember correctly, he co-wrote Nathan Barley, which I like.

Forgot about that one - it is a superb programme, I agree. All the characters (except Twist) are so likeable, as well.

Firefly for the best show I've ever seen.

Criminal Minds for the best show I've ever seen that's still running.

I will go with The Daily Show. I watch it everyday that it is on (I watch it in the morning the day after it's original airing). It is a more reliable news source than most news networks, and the local channels are not worth watching in Michigan. I like that they call everyone out on their own bullshit and just make liars and idiots seen for what they are.
