Best realistic fiction: Scrubs. I'm sad that it'll end on this season, but oh well.
Best science-fiction: Doctor Who '00. It picked up where the old series left off and built some new stuff around it, while bringing back old favorites (and David Tennant was just so much win in that role imo)
Best
non-english fiction: Kaamelott. What started as a French Internet phenomenon gained a TV contract, and is currrently showing a prequel season. Story is loosely adapted around the Arthurian mythos, with many facts of the Middle Ages and more recent references (Star Gate and Star Wars, for example) thrown in for comedic effect. Seasons 1-2 were very loosely based on the setup, seasons 3-4-5 took a more serious approach toward the plot (season 5 was almost entirely dramatic, but it did introduce one of my top 3 'TV show antagonist' in all categories) and, as I stated earlier, season 6 is Arthur's time living in Rome, set 15 years before the first season.
