To be fair, the criticism was Ad Hominem too, as well as several other literary fallacies.Indigo_Dingo said:Except for the part about it being a 25 year old man picking the worst of his criticism and responding to them with Ad Hominem attacks.Copter400 said:Mailbag Showdown is one long, best moment.
Weak fasimile (sic)? My first thought upon reading that bit of self-deprecating wit out of you was "wait, he doesn't have an Escapist Contributor badge? Editors, rectify this!"NewClassic said:I want to say Mailbag Showdown, I could be wrong, though.I Am Pigeon said:"Go team retard!"
I just wish I could remember which review that was from.
EDIT - Yeah. Around 35 - 37 second in.
It's cool, hence why my dictatorship was temporary.Gitsnik said:Also I agree with NewClassic (apologies for thiefing page) - he's funny, but in no way is he one of the greatest (I mean, have you seen the IronNinja's comics?!).
As far as Iron Nate's comics, I agree that he does awesome work. We also have reviewers like SimuLord and RAKtheUndead to make very sexy, hard-hitting reviews. And people like me to only make a weak fasimile thereof.
But I believe that one of the main appeals of the weekly Zero Punctuation videos is its humour. It would appear to me that responding to attacks on your journalistic integrity with attacks on the attacker's integrity as a human being holds somewhat more potential for humour than an intellectual discussion. The public would rather watch an execution than a debate.Indigo_Dingo said:So maybe he should have, I dunno, responded to the ones that weren't the actual dregs, or even responding to the ones that had meritCopter400 said:To be fair, the criticism was Ad Hominem too, as well as several other literary fallacies.Indigo_Dingo said:Except for the part about it being a 25 year old man picking the worst of his criticism and responding to them with Ad Hominem attacks.Copter400 said:Mailbag Showdown is one long, best moment.

It's probably because I never see myself in the same light. Even if I get upgraded to the rank of master lord general, I still always feel like the peon I started out as. It's prompted even a rant from me in the past [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.76153.893025], which is to say I'm so unused to being lumped in with the cool kids. Almost like I should feel like an Dickensian orphan sitting atop the snow-lined windowsill, staring at the warm fire and expensive dinner beyond my reach. But that's a discussion that's neither here nor there, I think.SimuLord said:Weak facsimile (Now fixed, see yourself after class, Mr. Lassic).
