Talking to you is pointless since you seem determined to not understand what is at stake and just complain. So I hope your total surrender goes well for you.
I understand perfectly what's at stake, I'm just not moved by "he's not Trump", like that excuses his many many many shortcomings. I'm not voting for a rapist Republican, no matter who his opponent is. Just because Trump is an orange troll of a man doesn't give the Democrats carte blanche to go further right.

What you've demonstrated through all this is an apparent belief that Sanders was the far left revolutionary candidate that would give me everything I wanted in one go, instead of his actual position as the center left small incremental change that the establishment tells us we should go for. If the Democrats can't even make a small concession to the people, they aren't the party of the people.

I love this innate assumption that your personal, individual views constitute "the people." It kind of exemplifies exactly what Worgen was talking about.

Wellp, Trump just got himself 4 more years. Better start getting numb early to that fact.
I still cannot believe he will really run in the general. I anticipate that if he does, Trump is going to make Biden look like Biden needs a diaper and should be in a nursing home. If Biden can win under such circumstances, we can dispense with debates. Too many people aren't even paying attention. The Democratic establishment must know this. I think, by any means the Democratic elite deem necessary, we will see Trump run against a relative unknown.

If your point of view is its Joe Biden or bust, rape, political history and view and complete inability to speak or win an election aside, then I think someone else has totally surrendered.

I know I said I wasn't going to engage you but I thought you should see some of what the democrats are doing.
Granted they don't make it past mitch (I don't want to do anything), but they are still passing legislation.

Except Biden won the nomination, Bernie wasn't even close. So its Biden or trump, one or the other, there is no choice beyond that. To think otherwise is at best naivety and worse delusion. So you either reluctantly support Biden or surrender and give trump what he wants.

But Biden isn't a choice, he's the illusion of a choice. The choice is really Trump or losing to Trump. Biden is corporate democrats admitting they would rather lose the election and get 4 more years of Trump than risk Bernie raising their taxes and regulating the stock market. Biden isn't a choice, he's the admittance of failure.

Where was this get up and go before? Why are Democrats only active when they're in the minority and facing an uncooperative government? Where were these bills when everything was stacked in their favor? Nowhere, and I guarantee if congress and the presidency fills up with corporate Dems again, they'll go back to pushing for right-wing concession-filled policies. I've already seen what these people do when they're given all the power they could want, not a damn thing.

Nothing more American than a basically rigged election selecting a pretty conservative candidate who's quite possibly a sex offender and a racist, and can barely string a coherent sentence together, and him still being less morally repugnant and stupid than the man already in the White House. I am very glad that I live in a country where I will not be forced to make such a marginal choice between the lesser of two evils, and one in which the electoral system is properly funded, supported, and administrated, so nobody can get in the way of exercising my democratic rights.

The UK has spent the last few years repeatedly embarrassing itself in various ways, but our left and right parties are still properly different, and registering to vote requires one form to be filled out, and there are enough polling stations for everyone and they stay open from 7am until 10pm, and anyone who wants a postal vote can have one. I don't like First Past the Post voting, but meaningfully participating in it is very straightforward.

Accelerationism seems to really be on the rise in the left. As someone in it, I'm not the biggest fan of it and I think it makes us come off as doomsayers. Biden is bad. He's worse than bad, he's awful. Trump is by far the worst and if he manages to get a another supreme court judge in, we're looking at a Republican held supreme court for gods know how long. I'm weighing my options as someone who is stuck here for the foreseeable future, the former sounds infinitely better for myself, my friends, and my family.

If Trump wins again, I'll join you in the doomsaying. Chances are the U.S. will remain fucked for decades if that happens. I'm voting Biden though for the hope that there is a chance that won't happen. I get you want change, I do to. This is not the way to get it. This is the way to return to a country where abortion and gay marriage is illegal again.

This is looking so much like what just happened to UK's Labour (see today's news on the leaked report).

Bad call guys.

The quashing of the anti-semitism probe? I honestly don't follow UK politics, I was under the impression Corbyn was the UK version of Bernie Sander. Left-wing idealist and the like. Was there really just an anti-Jewish side to Labor?

What was uncovered was a large right-wing presence within Labour to sabotage the party's election chances in an effort to force Corbyn out. Even among Labour they would rather let right wing corporatists win than their own party.

Aye, a right-wing presence that it appears went out of it's way to make it difficult to deal with antisemitism claims (among many other things).

I was a member of the Labour Party, but that's it for me if they don't sort this out. Politics aside, they've treated people like Diane Abbott horrifically, and I don't want to fund that shit.

Cull the fuckers.

Not a big fan of our voting options. Hopefully Warren or a similarly strong candidate emerges as the VP front runner.

Can I have a show of hands who is actually surprised by this?
Tucker Carlson was and admits how wrong he was and apologizes.
I admit, I am very surprised as well. And I cannot believe Warren came in 3rd in her own state. I cannot believe the Dems will nominate a weak old senile political whore. But they appear to want a whore. So...
I hold on to the hope of a brokered convention. I still believe we'll end up with Trump running against an unknown after, perhaps an "unforeseen" event occuring to Biden next fall.
