Eidos, and its many bastard children, can also hold water in any argument about developers. They've also proven to make good open world games (Just Cause 2 and, if you consider it to be one, Deus Ex: Human Revolution) with good(ish, in the case of Just Cause 2) to great stories. While I'm not sure what they were in relation to Arkham Asylum, they do have ties to it, and I consider that to be in my top 5 games on all counts (story, gameplay, atmosphere, etc). Eidos might've only been publisher for that, so it might not count.
Whether or not Thief 4 will be a great game or a great big dump remains to be seen.
