I'm convinced I'm the only one who loved the Pendragon series of books as a kid. I'm also pretty sure no one else played Prey.

I feel like I'm the only person who played Vagrant Story (awesome game), the only one who actually takes a bit of interest in the Star Wars Expanded Universe (some good, some bad), and I'm probably one of the only people who has seen Oedipus, but that's a good thing because it's a horrible movie.

Books - Not much of a reader.
Movies - I can't think one I know no one here has seen, probably Death to Smoochie.
Games - Heaps, Specter anyone? Rock N Roll Racing 1 & 2 anyone? Lineage 2 anyone?

OT: I feel like no one has read the Sword Of Truth series by terry goodkind. Great books, most immersive story i have ever read/seen/played, by far. My all time favorite series, and like no one has ever read it, as far as i can tell.

Oh, you would be very wrong there, sir. I have read that entire series, and must say it's the best series I have ever read (and I read a lot of books. Well, did before college, but I'll pick back up on it lol)

So, my contributions, I was going to say the "Sword of Truth" series too actually lol.
Any book by Brian Jacques.
Okami back when it was on the PS2.
Dark Cloud 2

And I doubt anyone will believe me on this one, but a friend and I both played Fallout 1 and 2 a few years before anyone had heard of Bathesda making Fallout 3. Before that game was made, Fallout 1 and 2 were basically unheard of (to us) and were amazing, amazing games. In fact, I was dissappointed by Fallout 3, it was like Oblivion, not Fallout.

Also, in response to above posts, I have read both the "Bartimaeus" trilogy and the "Pendragon" series. (Well, that's a lie, I haven't finished either one, but I intend to haha.)

Am I the only one that's read Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead?" It's actually pretty good as a story and isn't too heavy on the Objectivism thing.

Childhood's End, "Flow my Tears," The Policeman Said. If anyone could tell me what these are without looking them up, I'll (MS) Paint you something.
Never Heard of "Flow my Tears". But I just finished re-reading "Childhood's End" by Arthur C. Clark not too long ago.

Personally I have never met anyone that has read or heard of Wraeththu (that is not a typo) It's a pretty hefty compendium type novel, I think around 600 pages. It's about gay hermaphroditic nomad wizards. In love. With flower penises. That glow different colors. And toxic sperm like a xenomorph. It's pretty good.

heh, must admit, I havn't read any of the books, played the games or seen any movies mentioned here.
Let's see, the most obscure book, game and movie I have read, played and seen.
Have any of you read "Monsoon" by Wilbur Smith?
As you might have, here is a tough one, anyone know Burai Fighter Deluxe for the gameboy?
And last, but not least the movie Frostbiten and nope I did not misspell the title.
Oh and while we are at it, the most obscure booze I have drunken, would be Old Monk.

I'm a book addict. I'm sure I could scan my shelves and find a few random books I picked out of the trash that are a couple decades out of date and even I probably would not have ever heard of them had I not found them in a trash bin but I'll refrain.

Of those mentioned I have read The Silmarillion (I'm surprised it's mentioned since if you're a geek and have read Lord of the Rings its really sort of incumbent upon you to read it), "Flow My Tears", The Policeman Said (I have read most of Dick's books I think), and The Sword of Truth Series (or as far through it as I could get before realizing Goodkind is a horrible author, no really he is). I have heard of Childhoods End but have not actually gotten around to reading any Clarke yet somehow. I own a copy of the Oedipus Cycle and have yet to read it, have not watched any Oedipus movies. I have watched Carnival'e (awesome series), K-Pax (not bad), and Death to Smoochie (pretty good).

I am kind of surprised by a lot of these. Maybe I am just getting old.

My additions to the "Dont think anyone knows about it (but really I know that there are those who do and hope one of you may have)" list are The Illuminatus Trilogy and The Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy both by Robert Anton Wilson. Schrodinger's Cat is where I got my screen name, unfortunately too many people think it comes from some shitty song by some shitty band.

For movies: one of my favourites has always been Pleasantville but few people seem to have actually seen it.

Most of the games I have played have been fairly popular ones. I try not to blow cash on something shitty. The best I could do would be to go back to my NES days and pull Shogun out of my ass. The only thing I remember about the game is that I did not have the booklet and I had no idea what I was doing.

I would say the books "The Looking Glass Wars" by Frank Beddor (Brilliant Read btw), "Quinn" by Seamus Smith (Very Gritty) Also maybe "Mortal Engines" by Phillip Reeve (Got me into Steampunk)

For Movies I would say "Tommy", a movie by The Who. It was odd, cool, but odd.

As for games, project rub for ds (Awesome, but weird, and a hosty of PS1 games like Rally Masters, Formula 1, Kingsleys Adventure, Coolboarders 4 and Legend OF Dragoon.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy is the best Trilogy I have read EVER!!!!!!!
I was going to say that, but I guess I'm not the only one. And for that, you win.

So I guess I'll say The Runelords by David Farland. Fairly standard fantasy novel that I got as a gift and avoided for like two years. Finally got around to reading it, and it was actually pretty impressive. Now if I can find the rest of them, I'll be happy.
