I feel like I'm the only person who played Vagrant Story (awesome game), the only one who actually takes a bit of interest in the Star Wars Expanded Universe (some good, some bad), and I'm probably one of the only people who has seen Oedipus, but that's a good thing because it's a horrible movie.
I actually read Oedipus, the ancient greek play, and it's probably not much better.

Book= the graphic novel Watchmen, heaps of people I know have seen the movie but it seems none made the effort to read the book.

Thanks to exposure to TV Tropes, I have discovered that almost everything I have consumed has also been consumed and enjoyed by someone else. Except, unusually enough, for The Hobbit (J.R.R. Tolkien). It was, and is, the favourite story of my youth and I have yet to find someone who appreciates it like I do ;_;

Best comedy ever. Without question. Leslie Nielson's finest performance. Even more quotable than The Holy Grail. Endlessly rewatchable. You, sir/madam, have excellent preferrences for entertainment.

To this day, that is my favorite book. Nice to see it getting some appreciation. Also, your avatar is awesome.

Ever have a book, movie or game that nobody you come across is familiar with it? What is it?

As for me, The Night Angel Trilogy, by Brent Weeks (a very good read)] Those books. Anyone else read them?
Me! I've read them. They're fantastic. And I made my friend read them too. And the person who introduced me to them, I assume, has also read them. Hex from Good Game has them listed in her favourite books. So there you go, four other people who've also read the Night Angel trilogy!

I don't know anyone else who's read all the serial killer books that I've read, or anyone who's watched the Fountain. Which is kind of sad, because I really want to discuss that movie with someone.

Shadow Hearts for the PS2. One of the best RPG's ever made (if you ignore the graphics).
One of my favorite series, actually. :3 Well, minus the third one. But I love the first two.

I would say the books "The Looking Glass Wars" by Frank Beddor (Brilliant Read btw)
I read the first one my Sophomore year of high school (so, two years ago, I guess) and it was alright. I attempted to read the second one, but I just couldn't get into it. It was an interesting idea and I liked it, but the books themselves just weren't for me, I guess.

So, anyway, for my list...
Books: "Exit Here" by Jason Meyer, "The Dogs of Babel" though I forget the author
Movies: Ginger Snaps
Games: Obscure (PS2), Koudelka (PS1)

almost no one knows Serial Experiments Lain or Boogie Pop Phantom...
Seen and own both of those, Lain has to be one of my all time favourite shows. Boogie Pop is fun but a tad to depressing to watch too often.

This came up in another thread a little while ago. There was actually quite a sizable number of people who had read them, myself included. Now, for one that I've never seen mentioned anywhere else.

I absolutely love all of the Erevis Cale series. But no one I've asked has ever heard of it. Even the book stores have stopped stocking them now.

So far I haven't met anyone who has read The De Danann Tales, except when I introduced them to it.

Then again, most people where I live don't read much, if at all.

Edit: It doesn't even come up on Google, that's how obscure it is >_>

I would say, moviewise, Cube is pretty obscure. Unless of course you watch Escape To The Movies. After seeing an episode where Moviebob mentioned it, I decided to download and watch it. Wasn't half bad.
Cube is a great movie, and I can say I watched it long before Movie Bob made reference to it.

O.T - Game I've played that I wish I had someone tp play it with: MOONBASE COMMANDER. Pure strategy mixed with skill.

Book: World War Z by Max Brooks
I'm gonna send you a friend request, based solely on your bringing up this book. Easily, EASILY, one of the best books I've read. And as a side note it's been optioned for a movie. Just throwing that out there.

To be honest, I havent actually read the second one. I got the first one for $3, but the second one was about $30, and the library didnt have it, so i never read it.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person left who remembers the game "Flashback", from the NES/SNES era. Fantastic game, probably the first story based game I ever played.

Also while many people now know of/have seen the movie "The Mist", fewer have read the superior short story, along with another story from the same book called "The Jaunt", which has probably the most horrible ending to anything ever.

Anime: No matter who I talk to it seems no one has ever heard of Galaxy Angel. I find it kind of weird becuse I hear the series was popular in Japan.

Movie: Dead Snow. It's about Nazi Zombies. Look it up. In fact here is the trailer

Book: There were a series of books I read in Middle School. Something about 9 (I think) gates of death and past the 9th gate you could never return. Something like that. I did like the series, but I have no idea what it was called.
