Maybe, though there was evidence to suggest a smack every now and then was good for discipline. But I gather you mean having the absolute shit beaten out of them? then you're probably right.ShredHead said:Maybe it's because their parents, the one's that were beaten are so messed up that they're shit at raising kids.Tiny116 said:Not trying to cause offence here but has anybody noticed the trend of under 18's being pricks and aggressive has risen since Children were given more rights?
I remember it when I was a kid, my friends would be a little shit then shout out at the person they were abusing.
"You can't do SHIT I got RIGHTS!"
they used it as an excuse to be little "Badassess"

GTA???imahobbit4062 said:Also, what exactly does this have to do with Games...?
Oooh..Well, this might sound a bit stupid, but I only managed to skim through the article in my lunch break today and wrote what I remembered clearly..sorry if I was misleadingLeifur said:The story is actually even more complicated than that. I read a article about it too, which stated that the police did indeed know about all this and that it was going on but never did anything. One of the teenagers who got shot (can't remember which) was actually not a part of the harassing, and was actually just trying to help out his friend (which was the gang leader, but the father didn't know this ofcourse). the gang actually harassed/attacked the family another time AFTER the incident happened too. I very much understand the father, considering that this had been going on for years and not even the police was doing anything about it (the feeling of hoplesness probably was one of the main reasons he reacted as such, or so me thinks atleast).
No, but approaching someone's home with intention to enter and cause potentially lethal harm to the occupants is more than just cause to defend with lethal force, especially considering it was 6 armed young men versus ONE.Jenova65 said:He was a child, and you do not know what his background was maybe he went home after school and got beaten by his dad, maybe he didn't, however by your standards - Bullying = death sentence, I respectfully disagree with you! Many teens are assholes, and go on to be better adults and make right the things they did when they were young!imahobbit4062 said:15 Year olds are still kids?Jenova65 said:Dead! A 15/16 year old is dead! He was already avenged when he shot the child in the arm, surely? That is my point.Borrowed Time said:Though I don't believe he should have hunted down the teen he killed, they were way past the point of bullying when they were on his property with weapons. That is intent to do harm.Jenova65 said:Lesson for life? How, when one of them is dead? That isn't teaching a life lesson, that is executing someone for bullying!Ultracake said:That father did the right thing. Perhaps those idiots have learned a life lesson for once. That again is my point, the first shot was at the very least, enough. A child is dead. The child might have been an asshole, but death? Community service or boot camp would have been suitable, not death.ElTigreSantiago said:It's a guy that has terrorized your family for the longest time, and then he shows up at your house to take revenge on you. He didn't need to execute the kid, he should have restrained him after the first shot and called the cops. But as a hunter and gun owner, if people show up on my property that I know are hostile to me, I would do just what this guy did.
Teenagers are very different from Children, He was a teenager, He was a **** nugget, He got what he deserved.
This, this made me smile in a way saying " if only I had a shotgun"Mr.Squishy said:The father instinctively shot the closest one in the arm, and followed up in less than a second by shooting the leader, who turned to run away in the back. He crawls to under a tree to try and hide and gather himself again. The boy who was shot in the arm attempted to run away, but the father loaded the shotgun again and chased him down and shot him dead, before breaking down in a fit of angst while the rest of the "gang" fled.
That sucks. Got any links to other articles?Leifur said:the gang actually harassed/attacked the family another time AFTER the incident happened too.
