The corner of Garrant's mouth curled up in a slightly relived smile, he faced her, the sadness in his eyes still present but also mixed with a warm happiness. Another stiletto appeared in his hand and he walked over to the unconscious man, before Kinglet could object he held up a hand and proceeded to show her the 'soft spots' once more, pointing to each of them with the blade but otherwise leaving the man unharmed.

He purposely avoided the dangerous ones, the ones that if stabbed would put an enemy down for good, instead he showed her how to debilitate an attacker, where to strike and what angles to insert at. He hoped that with this information, Kinglet would be able to defend herself from an attacker long enough for him to come to her aid, ready to strike the killing blow.

He looked up at her periodically, her face showed confusion, most probably at his origins but also at the techniques, he did not worry however, she was always a quick learner and could be counted on to remember.

He hoped

Back =p Good job on murdering my poor bandito's /cry

The bandits were getting slaughtered. This group was far tougher then they had originally appeared. One bandit rushed Maverick only to have a searing sensation erupt in his lungs, he looked down to discover the better part of his chest was missing as blood quickly pooled beneath him. The bandits short sword clattered to the ground as he fell to his knees, reaching inside his cloak he withdrew a hand crossbow -Bang!- The bandit fell backward, a finishing shot right between his eyes.

The leader was doing no better, his cross bow destroyed he was limited to only his blade, making his bag of tricks quite small indeed. Taven moved in to trip the leader up but the bandit responded with a quick counter, reversing the trip sending Taven to the ground. Instead of finishing him however, the leader turned tail and fled. His skin hardened as a small flash of green energy covered his body, infusing with the strength of stone, he would get out of here. This device would ensure it.

There is a quick and dirty resolution to the conflict. I really should have done it yesterday when I had less to worry about and could have done a better job I know. So for that I apologize.

Taven pushes himself up, surprised that the man had the strength to throw him.

"come back here coward!"
he says angrily as the man turns to run.
"fine. on to the caves."
he mutters to himself
he retrieves his pack, takes a crossbow and case of bolts off a dead man, and continues.

The sounds of battle were dying down, and Kinglet could hear one of the group shouting after an alleged coward that had removed himself from the fight.

She still squatted in front of Garrant, and tried to keep her eyes steadily on his. It was a hard thing to do, but she felt that if she didn't, he might not take her seriously.

"But you'll have to start being honest with me."

Trace threw one final punch towards the man with the dagger, sending him into shock. He looked around, to see every bandit escaping. He shook his head and whispered "Cowards".

Letting the electricity dissipate, back into energy, he held his head for a few moments, So much for conserving energy he thought. The two people he had just fought were still lying in front of him, still breathing. "Do I kill these two or what?" he yelled out, his custom was to usually not, but he wanted the groups approval before leaving these 2 men alone, after they might have killed or hurt people.

Garrant closed his eyes momentarily and took a deep breath, he tried to formulate a sentence out of what he was willing to tell Kinglet, it wasn't easy, afterall how often did you have to admit you were a merciless, indiscriminate monster in a past life, a life long buried and forgotten but a life lived nonetheless.

"I wasn't just a thief in Crystalmoor" he finally said, hoping that this admission would be enough to sate Kinglet's appetite for knowledge, but knowing he would most likely have to share the whole truth.

"I say we "interrogate them" best try to find out where their from, any and all reinforcements, and see what their motives were. They came in too great a number to be just simple thieves. They must've had a reason to try and stop us, to deter us from our objective. We should find out why" Isaac says to Trace

The men Trace had subdued lay quite still on the ground, the occasional spasm wracking their bodies due to the electrical energy which was still coursing through them. Upon hearing Isaac talk of interrogation one of them groans and feebly speaks. "What exactly do you expect to learn from us? You think we'll talk because you have us beaten?"

"I think you'll talk because you don't have any other options than that. If you decide that you won't I guess some of our other friends will have a nice "talk" with you, I'd recommend you not take that route they aren't the friendliest of people. Let alone to those who would have us murdered" Isaac says in a cold harsh tone his normally calm blue eyes now those of a killer

Maverick stood up and approached the captives. His eyes calm and gait making him seem carefree. But there was a slight....Malevolence on his face that seemed just as, if not more, threatening than Isaac's mysteriously glowing blue eyes. He stood side by side to Isaac and looked down at the Bandits. His mouth angled into a slight crooked smile.

The Artificer said to Isaac "Very nice Glowing eyes of Doom Isaac. I congratulate you on that. However, these men are evidently either part of a Brootherhood, or motivated by Fear. So, if it is motivated by Brootherhood, we will have a harder time breaking it. But, if motivated by Fear, then I can assure you that they will break within the next 30 minutes."

He crouched next to the face of the captive that had just spoken. He grabbed him by the Hair and forced his face to the ground. The Bandit tried unsuccessfully to stop him, only managing to angle one of his eyes towards his face. He saw.....something strange. Whether due to angle in which the Light hit The Artificer's face or if his own Magical Abilities have altered his body to a certain degree. He saw that Maverick's entire face was devoid of color, only his irises had any sort of hue to them. The eyes stared at them with a crimson tinge, giving him the appearance of a Devil devoid of anything but Bloodlust.

Maverick answered simply "If motivated by Fear. Then the only way to break that is to give them something even WORSE to Fear. Isn't that right Little Fly?"

Trace chuckled slightly, he never really liked interrogations, but it seemed fairly funny making the artificer do it. He stepped closer, crouching down in front of the bandit that Maverick was holding down. Unlike his allies, his eyes left a feeling of warmth in them, not the cold steel stares from his comrades.

"Hi, remember me?" Trace asked him, the man managed a small nod and whimper. "Good. Now, you will tell us everything you know. Or else..." he put his hands closer to the bandits face, and summoned a alrge amount of energy, converting it to two types, wind and electricity. The electricity raced around his palm, and as the wind picked up pace, it ended up pulling it out and forming a ball of electricity around his hand.

The magic shined brightly, with many small lightning strikes leaping from it. He moved it out of his sight and went up close to his ear, and whispered, "Guess where that is going"

"You're going to have to do better than that," Kinglet said. Her voice was light and soft, but there was no gentle smile accompanying it.

"But now I think we should be going back to the others."

She stood, turned in a circle on the spot, and tried to figure out what way to go.

Garrant exhaled as he stood from the rock and he walked over to the edge of the cliff, where the bandit had been stationed, beckoning for Kinglet to follow him. He looked over the edge and considered the possible fall.

'One meter drop to slid-able decline, five to six meters, easy to hold, only difficult part is the...'

"Jump"

He turned around and looked at Kinglet once more, mentally preparing for the plunges, both literal and metaphorical.

"I... I used to be..." he chuckled at his awkwardness, before finally taking another deep breath and closing his eyes. Once he was finally composed he turned to the jump before him and took the plunge.

"I was a hired killer"

And then he jumped, hitting the decline and sliding down it to the 'battlefield' below.

'Coward'

I'd like to point out that from 6pm tonight (GMT) to probably Monday midday, (at the very least) I'll be indisposed, first being at a party and then recovering from said party :D I'll try to post something on Sunday if possible but don't expect amazingness

It sends a chill down her spine. Though she'd guess it, hadn't she. And again she tried to remind herself that it made no difference. Couldn't make a difference. Mustn't make a difference.

Kinglet brushed the thought aside. There would be more time for that later. He would have to tell her more, of course, now that she realized she had only just scratched the surface of who Garrant was.

The young thief peered across the ledge, plotted her route down, and jumped. She slid down most of the way, her gloves hand supporting the slide, and reached the bottom next to Garrant. Dusting herself off, Kinglet looked towards the group of strangers, though not at the man by her side.

"Good start for that excursion, don' you think?" she said.

"Now I have to thank someone too for saving my life too. Makes me feel so useful that does."

Have fun :D

Fitzgerald clanged his sheilds together." I have stood against thee wicked souls and vanquised thy. I am the sheild of light and the wall of iron, do thy wicked souls speak in an attempt to free they wretched souls and lives?." Fitzgerald threw one of his sheilds aside and picked up a bandit by the front of his shirt." Does thy speak, or hold thy tounge and face damnation as I smite thee and make thee no more?"

Trace looked at Fitzgerald pick up one of the bandits, "Speak normally kid" he said as he still was crouching near the other bandit. "And Put him down, thats not going to help anyone. As much as you like to think you are, your a glowing white wall, your not the fearsome." he snickered at Fitzgerald, he had begun to annoy him already. His bright white horse and uselessness in battle had gotten on his nerves.

"It was my fault, I left you, It won't happen again" said Garrant as he began to make his way towards the others, knowing that they were still out of earshot and most likely invisible to them, especially seeing as they were having enough fun torturing some luckless bandit, however Garrant could hardly take the moral high ground on that.

"Do you really think that this whelp will have information? What could you possibly be trying to glean from him?"

Nailos looked at the broken man, seeing the fear in him he walked up and began talking to him. "Why would you join a band of such evil men?" he said to the bandit. The bandit only looked away guiltly. "Well I just wanted information, thought perhapes I could try and save one more life from my band of crazy *cough* "Heros". No matter though have some water of my water while they argue, because once they finish their angry well be directed solely on you." Nailos said in a chilling voice as he helped the bandit drink. "So friend please give me some answer, I only wish see one less man slaughtered in our wake."

Nailos felt bad for scaring the man, but going into unknow and dangous situations every scrap of information is needed.

Maverick looked up and saw two figures that had approached the Circle. He looked at the man speaking and saw a fairly well built man, apparently a thief judging from his lack of magical or martial weapons, and had asked whether they would gain anything from this or not.

Before he could say anything, Maverick realized the figure to his side was the Girl he had saved earlier. Now that he had the opportunity, he could see her figure better up close. She was lithe, Black hair, Pale skin and Grey...no Light Blue hair. She seemed to be looking around for someone, probably to thank the one who had saved her.

The Artificer shrugged mentally, only caring if she would be categorized as a Threat, or of Possible use to him. He looked at the captive he held by the hair and was fairly sure he shat himself. Shaking his head slightly, he looked up at the Thief and said "Perhaps. Perhaps he knows nothing, and we are simply wasting our time here. But there is a possibility that the rest of the men here knows something as well. We scare them enough, then the will talk eventually. Our Survival, or Theirs. They forfeited their right to live the moment they decided to Ambush us. Besides, I believe it better to be absolutely sure they know nothing, than kill them and realize they know something. Also, this isn't torturing yet. This is basically Pre Dinner conversation, not even the Appetizers.

He stood up, letting go of the Bandit, and looked at both of them. After a few seconds he said to the Girl "Ah. I see. Hopefully, next time you would be more mindful of your surroundings hmm?" He said, somewhat playfully but at the same time also scolding. "You should have been more careful, had I not seen the Bastard shot at that exact moment, you would be dead."

'A strange pair these two are. The man obviously seems experienced in his art, while the Girl.....for lack of a better term. Does Not. Why though? An Apprentice? No, that would imply that she was being trained for a while. That is obviously not the case. A Slave? No, she knows too much to be one. I don't know.....

Still, it's quite obvious that both of them care for each other. I would almost say that they were Brother and Sister if not for the fact that they looked nothing alike. So that means he adopted the Girl for some reason. How? Since he's brought her here, it means that....he was forced too? Perhaps.....he does seem to be regretful of something at this moment....The Girl.....is there Regret there as well?....No. I can't say anything for sure. Everything is still probable, without real basis. I must wait for more information.'

Nailos seeing Maverick eyeing everyone with a cold calculating stare, decide to see what he knew and if he could help get some information from the bandit. "So Maverick hows your shoulder?" Nailos decided it was best to start out with small talk.
