Lev woke up gradually, partly because of the sunlight shining through the curtains, and partly because of the ever present heat, which he felt had just gotten worse over the few days he had been here. Well, luckily they weren't going to hang around much longer, and their journey would preferably take them somewhere a little more chilly.
He sat up in the bed and moved his feet over the edge and down to the floor, feeling the sensation of Tatiana's fur on his toes, which meant that she was still sleeping, as was usual really. He got to his feet and stretched out before getting his new clothes from his pack, and repacking it all, making sure that everything was in order for the trip. And when he had changed into the clothes he nudged Tatiana awake with his foot.
"It's morning, get up." He said to the large pile of of orange, black, and white which was currently residing near the bed, nudging her again when he received no response other than her skin twitching a little.
Finally her head rose from the floor, looking at Lev with a mixture of sleepiness and annoyance before yawning, baring her impressive arsenal of teeth. "Time to get moving, I know the heat's making you drowsy, but the sooner we leave the better." He told her as he opened the door to indicate that they were leaving.
Tatiana got to her feet sluggishly and stretched out, digging her claws into the wooden boards underneath as she yawned a second time. But as she took her first step she felt that something was amiss, and turned her head to look back at herself. Seeing the saddlebags from earlier she turned to Lev again and shot him a poisonous glare.
"You're going to carry your share, Tatiana." Lev stated as they both headed out of the room and downstairs, quickly grabbing a bite to eat before heading down the road to sign up with the guards, Tatiana sulking all the way.
