Nathan sighed as he had been walking around the town for a few hours, struggling to find anything to do, Styru stayed at his side, but even he looked bored. He eventually found his way into a tavern for a drink, he put a couple of silver on the table for a meal, the place wasn't busy at all, many people had gone to sleep by now. About 10 people were playing a game of sorts over on another table, and another few talking. "You know any of these people, son?" the Barman asked him as he put Nathan's and Styru's meal on the table.

"No, sorry, doesn't one of those girls work here?" Nathan said as he put Styru's meal down beside him.

"Aye, but those friends of hers are new and she's been acting pretty strangely for a while, I'm worried" The Barman said, looking at her briefly.

"I can't help, sorry, I leave in a few days." Nathan said, inbetween bites.

"The Quest?"

"Yup."

"Good luck to ya', though I'm not too sure about finding it though all on your own."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine, I have my friend with me here, anyway." He took his drink and sat down in the corner of the room. He started organising the things in his bag.

"Does it matter? Would you want people standing around asking what your companion was if Shade was in trouble. I know I wouldn't." Sai said turning to Zestia. "Besides we'll find out soon enough." She said smiling at the tavern girl. "Now C'mon, I'll see if I can't talk our way by." She said walking back towards the main gates.

"Sorry. I just wanted to know so we could find it faster. But I guess you're right."
Zestia didn't want to argue about it, so she just followed Sai.
Shade was back on her shoulders.

"Hey I figure since our friend here can sense wich direction it's in she'll be able to find it we just have to get her close enough." Sai said with a shrug. Kia walked behind her watching the crowd as they went.

The tavern girl gave the kind guard an appreciative glance, wary of the strange woman in the cloak's probing, and felt even more uneasy about revealing that she were bonded to a crow. She felt slightly guilty for not revealing his nature, after all, she was not at all ashamed of him, it is because of him she was in this situation where she would leave the tavern once and for all; what was she afraid of? She thought about it for a second before it dawned n her. For the first time in her life, she had people helping her, possibly even trying to befriend her, she didn't want to compromise these relations in their early stages over trivial matters, knowing very well how crows were regarded by the townsfolk. "He's that way." She said, pointing out through the open gate. "That is exactly the problem. I need papers to pass."

Alright, here's what RBM and I have decided for this. There is a curfew on leaving the city if you're under 18, which is why "Tavern Girl" needs papers proving her age. Leaving the city with somebody old enough (i.e. Sai & Zestia) to leave is completely legal, though. If you're wondering "but they send 12-year-old's into a forest alone," well kids have to leave at dawn for such. There's no curfew for entering the city.

"That's alright. So long as either I or Sai here accompany you, you can leave the city. Shall we go then?"

Zestia smiled at the tavern girl.

The tavern girl couldn't express her appreciation more, she merely smiled widely at the two women, and practically ran in the direction of the trouble. "This way!"

Also kind of busy at the moment, I was going to post tonight but too tired to think at the moment, I'll make a post tomorrow morning when I wake up. ps I added this Friday

"Right then." Sai said nodded as she followed the girl. The guards at the gate nodded as they walked through. Kia sniffed the air once the passed the gate, she was getting hungry. "Alright girl I'll get you something as soon as we can. Right now, we need to find the girls companion." She explained. A flash of green entered her mind showing reluctant agreement.

"Alright." Zestia ran after the tavern girl with Shade on her shoulders. Hopefully he wouldn't fall off and she hoped the tavern girl's companion was alright. She wouldn't want anything to happen to anyone's companion.

After hearing the king's speech, Badelin thought to himself that the reward would be enough for provisions worth a few months. Not to mention that deep down, in the small bit of humanity which he still had arose a hope that it might have information on the whereabouts of his parents. It was an opportunity which he couldn't resist. From rooftop to rooftop, Badelin rapidly made his way back to the inn where Dax would await.

As soon as he arrived, he quickly mounted Dax and set towards the gate. He knew he might need to form a party with others to raise the chances of finding the Ruins but he didn't knew anyone and besides, how much could have you trusted a greedy stranger when faced with such a reward.

Sorry for not posting in quite a while, final exams have been a pain in the neck

The tavern girl jogged through woods on the city outskirts, Sai and Zestia close on her tail, towards the direction where her troubled companion lay. The forest grew steadily cooler and darker as the vegetation thickened and the trees grew denser, and before long, she could no longer run and had to push and cut her way through the thick undergrowth. She could sense her companion more strongly as she grew steadily closer to the old crone's hut, where Cora lay motionless among the pile of carcasses. Eventually the group reached a change in the forest, the trees thinned and overgrown ornamental bushes grew tangled along side the formidable forest trees.

"This is it." the tavern girl whispered to the group, confirming their suspicions that they had finally reached their mysterious destination. The scent of woodsmoke and strange herbs filled the air, and a fire could be heard crackling beyond a small single roomed hut which stood, partially covered with tangling vines. The hut was stood in what was once likely a clearing with a manicured garden with a lavish water fountain, but had since been overgrown with ornamental bushes, the likes of which the tavern girl had never seen, and the fountain was dry, cracked, and covered in lichen.

The tavern girl crouched in the bushes, trying to hush her hurried breathing. "He is on the other side of that building, but we are not alone here, what should we do?"

"I could try and sneak into that building and look for him. It should be somewhat easy for me. I'm used to having to hide and sneak."

Zestia waited with asking the tavern girl what her companion was. Didn't want to seem rude by always asking her about it when they could be trying to rescue him.

Shade slithered on the ground after having gone off Zestia's shoulders so she could catch her breath faster.

Soon enough, Badelin and Dax were not only near the city gate, they were past it heading west.

"Or we can just sneak around the side of the building." Sai pointed out. "Besides me and Kia will here anything that moves." She whispered tapping her ear. Kia sniffed the air. She smelled something that made her hungry. "I told you as soon as we get the girls companion back." She told Kia.

The tavern girl looked intently at her travelling companions. "That could work."

"From the vision I saw, he is laying in pile of dead crows, he can't move. There is a old lady and a fox on guard. The old lady looked fairly decrepit and probably can't put up much of resistance. Her fox however could be a problem. If you send the cobra, it has a batter chance of sneaking in undetected but won't be able to get out as fast and might get hurt by the fox. If you send your fox though, there's a good chance the other fox will see it, but it should be able to get away with Cora fairly easily. The sun is going down fast, let's do this as soon as possible."

"Why not send both companions? While Shade is fighting the fox, Kia could go and get Cora. Or vice versa." Zestia suggested.

Shade was ready when Zestia would give the word.

The tavern girl nodded her head in agreement. "Hopefully we shouldn't have to fight the fox, perhaps just distract it. Let's do this."

Zestia and Sai sent Shade and Kia towards the building. Side by side, Shade slithered and Kia ran towards where they assumed Cora was. They went past the hut and when they were almost at where Cora was, the old crone's fox came at them.

Shade turned and went after the fox while Kia went towards Cora. He picked Cora up in his mouth and went back to where Shade was fighting the fox. He was strangling it. Once Kia and Cora were gone past him, he let go of the fox and slithered away. The fox made an attempt to follow them, but Shade turned around and hissed at the fox, then made an attempt to bite it. The fox yelped and ran back to the hut.

Shade arrived after Kia and Cora were back with Zestia, Sai and the tavern girl.

"Good job, Shade." Zestia said. Shade gnawed her leg lightly, then went back on her shoulders when she bent down so he could go onto her shoulders.

"What's the plan, now?" Zestia asked the two women.
