After watching the unedited clip, frankly, if I were in 'The Pros' position that kid would have much worse coming his way. Cheating foul mouthed little squeaker shouldn't even be playing the game in the first place, nevermind blatantly cheating then bragging about it in the most profane manner possible to an Admin no less.

Getting the contact information and calling his parents to explain how the kid just lost the privilege to go onto Xbox Live, now *there's* a conversation I'd want to hear!

I can't seem to find the bits where The Pro was out of line. Perhaps they came later. Doesn't matter though, still deserved. I love me a good rebel mod, waving the banhammer around like the mighty hammer mjornir.

I want to see the whole video. Without an unedited video no one can truly render judgment. By the way, why didn't Microsoft's response give us an unedited video? Perhaps The Pro really was bad and they can't defend him past saying how edited the complainer's video is. Bah, I'm suspicious of all of them.

The "unedited video" only shows a bit of the conversation that was "captured unedited" by iTzLupo. iTzLupo doesn't even say anything in it. Not to say that he said nothing.

Also, to be able to show a full unedited version of the game, Microsoft would have had to have been recording the game, which would mean that all moderators would have to be recording everygame they ever play, which would take up a lot of hard drive space and be uneconomical.

Forgive me for the following anecdote.

I remember quite a while ago when My Chemical Romance and suchlike were quite huge among the emo populus, so yes a good few years ago, 2005/6. Two little emo girls in my high school English class who sat in front of me would constantly talk about how they were some manner of "revolutionary movement"(their exact words). Well one day I just burst out in laughter and stated that they were no more than a group of reclusive social retards who get a thrill from masochism. They spurt out this shit: "You don't know the pain we go through, you can't understand". I come back with "Yeah, Rossy with the dead brother, who saw his brother die? Yeah, he can't comprehend the 'emotional pain' felt by a group of teens because their parents don't let them have their own way"(I didn't say it for cheap points, just to prove that some people have had it a lot worse {an anecdote within an anecdote}). Anyway, I get detention for verbal abuse because I decided to speak up against some tits who had been disrupting my learning for months.

Moral of the story: emos are attention seeking retards and I loathe them with a passion.

Someone who gets paid to play games and enforce X-Box Live's policies... a Professional gamer, if you like.

I also said it sounds a bit up himself, but naming yourself like that is rather unprofessional in my opinion. But I know what you mean.

Maybe it is a bit unprofessional, but considering his job, it's a very literal name which could also be intended to be highly visible and leave no doubt as the fact that he's a professional member of the X-Box Live Policy Enforcement Team, and hopefully that name alone would act as bit of a deterrent...

Perhaps it's a bit like how cops drive cars with "Police" written on the sides.

I've said it quite a few times on other sites but simply put I support ThePro nothing he did was wrong his tone his words nothing, let alone the video was edited to make him look bad, Its been posted the unedited video and suffice to say I am marveled at how calmly he took it, If I had been in his position I'd have hunted down the kid by finding his address info on his account and beat his A** literally....and I doubt any of the detractors on this thread claiming he should have acted better would have acted as calm as he did, I know I certainly wouldn't if some kid was telling me he had sex/raped my grandmother till she spit blood...

To be honest, I reckon we need more of these guys around. Taking that police example up; we don't get people stealing left right centre because of the fact that a simple call to the local station will get ten policemen on your ass. I'm not a great fan of the whole 'hide in darkness, private message a warning then ban' because others don't know why the guy is gone (speaking from an online PC game POV, I don't have an Xbox and don't plan to any time soon). At least with a public 'stop' then others will realize that 'hey, maybe talking profanities really isn't a good idea.'

I agree with this guy. For all I know XBL has enough of 12-year-old kids talking trash. If someone bans a few it's the right thing.

The unedited version clearly tells what was going on and the fact that the idiot made a edited version to make The Pro look worse just makes the video maker look stupid and childish. Clearly he was just upset because of the ban and because he didn't get his afternoon nap.

I don't get it, I watched the unedited version that someone posted (in the first few posts) and I don't have a fucking clue what's going on.

ThePro (the moderator) was in this room because it was a modded 10th prestige room. I have no idea how (I assume it has to do with modding a console) but while playing you can basically 10th prestige in one sitting. While in the room some little kid absolutely goes berserk on the ThePro (the Xbox moderator) and the Pro responds. He then begins suspending the players in the room because he confirmed they are modding their consoles and being extremely aggressive towards him.

The poster of the video (not on escapist but youtube) edited the video he took and made it look like the Pro was the one at fault and not the people doing the illegal actions in a modern warfare 2 multiplayer match. He uploaded the video thinking that the internet would be on his side but he forgot that the internet isn't as dumb as he is (most) and were able to spot a heavily edited video. He has since cowered in his mothers basement only coming out to shower and have some of his mother's home cooked meals.

And for the dude who said the pro was a dick...you are obviously part of the group of the internet who the poster of the video was looking to fool. Congrats.
