Cutscenes that made games worse for you.

Oh yeah, Call of Duty 3. Every time you started a new game or loaded a game, you would have to watch the boring as hell cut scenes from that level, no skipping. Now that's just bad programming.

FF7: Dirge of Cerberus, The game could have been fun, if the I didn't have to wait 40 minutes to start playing from cut scene-after-cut scene-after-cut scene, also some of the cut scenes are so vague and long winded I actually come out knowing less then just flipping through the manual and hitting start.

Assassin's Creed. Not that they were bad, just that I was always going for a perfect assassination and having to re-watch those damn things every time I messed up and had to retry got real old real fast.

Honestly, I never understand why games don't do skippable cutscenes. It should be a mandatory feature. I'll always watch them religiously the first time, but I shouldn't have to sit through it all over again if I screw up.

Assassin's Creed. Yeah, it was a decent game, but Ubisoft Montreal killed any replay value by making the long-winded cutscenes unskippable. And Altair is a terrible, terrible voice actor.

Cut scenes from Assassins creed, way to long and completely un-skippable

And sounds exactly like Desmond.
Who doesn't have the same voice actor.

Wow! Four posts all criticising Assassin's Creed. Neat!
...
I have nothing more to contribute. Sorry.

Yeah, not only does Ubisoft make a game that is only fun to play the first time around, but they also have two characters with bad voice acting that sound EXACTLY the same being voiced by two different people.

THAT SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME.

Cut scenes in Lost Planet were poorly voiced and at worst, creepy (wait...he's actually 35 and he's hitting on an 18 year old?...backing away slowly). This wasn't helped by the fact that towards the end of the game everything seemed to shift into a painfully wooden anime world with flying mechs and battles up in the stratosphere!

The lack of skippable cutscenes in Half Life and Half life 2 (and it's spawn) pissed me off to no end, I play shooting games for the gun fights and action, if I've just been through a satanically bad driving section the last thing I want is to have 5 minutes of exposition and 'family banter' crammed down my throat against my will.

Throughout the Halo series there have been some pretty bad cutscenes mostly concerned with slowly revealing the stock 'it's going to destroy the universe' plot line that I probably could of (and actually did) guess, this could be redeemed slightly by the fact that they are mostly skippable (unlike Half Life) so you can just hit the start button and pretend that they never exsisted (you also get 3-4 minutes of your life back, which is a bonus).

Finally, Quake 4's opening cutscene was unessercarily long, unskippable and seemingly served no purpose other than to say 'all the guys here at iD love Aliens THIIIS much!', presumably in a southern accent.

Devil may cry 4 cutscenes were cool, but once Danta's female sidekick came in, the camera seemed to g;ue itself on her boobs or ass. It got....really obvious.

The intro cut scene of Oblivion left me in awe. Don't get me wrong, the rest of the scenery is nice, but it's nowhere close to that very first cut scene.
Yeah, that's what you get with pre-rendered cutscenes..
