I have to agree with BIA : HH, not only because the story was terrible anyway, but the graphics were poor too.
Can't disagree more here. Story was solid. I have two gripes. The game was easier than crap and the trees were bleh. Everything else was solid.
Porbably because I havn't played a Brother in Arms game before this one, the story expects you to have understood and know who these people are.

The only character I knew (as in could identify) was frankie..because he had his name written on his back, and when I lose all intrest in the charatcers, the story becomes flat.

Besides the story in the holy land being terrible and luckily the future story saving it i thought that you shouldn't have been able to walk in the cutscenes and they just made dramatic movements for the charecters so the cutscenes were not so stagnant and boring.

This. It was a travesty:

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.

Snake shouldn't backflip over a missile fired from a hind, then while still in mid air, right himself up, aim and shoot his own missile in return. That just looks fucking silly. It's the kind of thing that should be in DMC, not MGS.
Remakes=bad. So very glad they decided against the twin snakes meryl for mgs4.

And Frankie dies three quarters of the way through, leaving you with the totally original name of 'Baker' and the redhead guy who is... 'Red'. The gameplay was solid, at least.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Final Fantasy cutscenes, so I will.
Final Fantasy cutscenes
That's just what I was thinking. The cut scenes in most FF games are amazing. Then you get to the actual game graphics and they are such a let down from the cut scenes, its pitiful. If they ever make the playable part look as good as the cut scenes that would be awesome.

Metal Gear Solid and it's very deep information cutscenes, which half the time led somewhere for an even longer cutscene.

Oh, and Sephiroth's Super Nova attack at the end of Final Fantasy VII, yes we get it, he is 'all powerful' but this attack three times in a battle becomes a bore, and I want pizza!

Crackdown. You learn to dread the words, "news from the Peacekeepers, Agent!"

I just bought Okami today, and I'm already obsessed with it. However, the 20 minute prologue left me thinking the entire time they're talking about the battle with Orochi, 'Why am I not playing through this!?'
Aha. Wow. That's just... Wow. Keep playing. You'll see why it's so funny, I promise.

I thought that added to the over-all "experience".

I would agree with the Half-Life 2 ones, if the characters delivering them weren't so wonderfully animated. Really helps when playing it for the 3rd time. And hey, if you're really bored, go rooting around the area, see what you can find.

Any game in which the cutscene is un-necessary. Metal Gear Solid does this with its constant repetition of things you already know. Grr.

Also, Pariah. I watched every cutscene in the game and still have no idea what the fuck was going on. Fun game, mind-fucking plot.

I would say Medal of Honor: Airborne. Unskippable, and utterly putrid. They could have been done better during the (mediocre) combat.

I thought playing past the first city more or less was replaying the game.

You bring up a good point.
