There are 3 Star Wars films, 3 Indiana Jones films, M Night Shyamalan decided to retire from directing after the passable Signs, Star Trek Generations, Insurrection, and Nemesis didn't happen, and Transformers 1 and (especially) 2 never happened.
I'm probably forgetting some, but that's a good outline.

Ratchet and Clank: Only the first three main games (Deadlocked doesn't count)
For the life of me, I don't know why, I can't stand any of the Playstation 3 games. There was just something... kind of soulless about them. It felt like they lacked that special magic the originals had.

I like to think FF7 Advent children is non-canon to FF7.

There was a point in time where a development team took an iconic character and created a parallel universe version of him. It was a clone universe, so it started to degrade and has destroyed everything. It started about the time they bought Sonic the Hedgehog to Earth and had him mingle with Humans (Aside from the Robotniks).

FEAR 2 is non canon to me. No, those hallucinations are not simply a symptom of being close to Alma, Alma MAKES them happen. Also, needless rape.
Phoenix Wright was never disbarred. He retired with dignity, married Iris, and did not, at any point in time, become a poker playing jerkass with a five o'clock shadow and a daughter. Next year, look out for the spinoff to the Phoenix Wright series: "Maya Fey: Ace Channeler!"

On a separate note, it's funny/annoying to me how anyone who says they have any problem with the newer Pokemon games automatically gets jumped on. I wish we could all just agree that it's a good series with a long lifespan, but definite room for improvement, and leave it at that.

I refuse to accept that this is canon. Although it isn't, and set in an alternate universe no less, I'll go one further. This is an MK series in name only, and was not done with any passion for the game's name and ideas. And I'm frankly very surprised that no one has called out the director of the trailer for blatantly stating that this is HIS interpretation of the characters and ideas.
I'm sorry but even considering the alternate timeline, once you alter the characters in such a way that they look nothing like how they're supposed to, and then on top of that, remove the elements of mysticism and magic to leave only the 'Bloodsport' part of the idea intact, all you have is a skeleton of the original idea. One meant to appeal to those who only come for the gore. I thought we were past that and wanted something better, but I suppose not if this tripe is getting made.
Here's an idea, Tancharoen: Before you make a trailer promoting a game-based idea, do your research to try and avoid what made game-based entertainment fail in the first place - Appealing to the lowest common denominator. You are promoting an idea built on interesting characters, bloody violence and deaths, and elements of the supernatural all playing a part in it's success without any hints of magic or characters that are recognizable outside of their names.
Frankly, I hope this idea crashes, burns, and is never spoken of again after it is completed.

Not really, just the ending and how they just kinda live peacefully on the island with the baby. Maybe I'm just grim or something, but I expected a much darker ending.emeraldrafael said:
Many, but off the top of my head Battlestar Galactica reigns supreme. TERRIBLE ending, LITERAL deus ex machina, NO resolution for most of the mysteries, FULL of plot holes, all with some extra complete misunderstanding of genetics thrown in to spice things up.I Max95 said:
