Dumbledore being gay. It wasn't in the books, so I'm calling publicity bullshit.
I have gone through many posts in this thread, but you take the cake. Why did we need to know this? What does it have to do with anything? You are totally correct in the publicity bullshit. The books were starting to fade in their popularity, so she went out and tried to create a controversy so people would start talking about them again.
Exactly! It's like she forgot they were still making the movies!
I'd like to point out that she was answering a fans question about his relationship with... whats his face when she first said he was gay. People jumped on it and then started asking her more questions about it. More so, before she had said that in public, she had told the director of one of the movies he was gay when he wanted Dumbledore to say something about a girl from when he was Harry's age. Call it non-canon if you want, but it was something she had decided before hand.

im sorry insomiac but your not sucking me into this one
i will go ahead and pretend this one doesnt exist
Many, but off the top of my head Battlestar Galactica reigns supreme. TERRIBLE ending, LITERAL deus ex machina, NO resolution for most of the mysteries, FULL of plot holes, all with some extra complete misunderstanding of genetics thrown in to spice things up.
Battlestar galatica had an ending?
i assumed the writers got bored and left near the end =P

Also the end of Soul eater never happened, i mean, what sort of idiot would make the main villian get defeated by a punch in the face...

(just remebered toaru majutsu no index... (which is something i really like =P))

No not really. Rather then needing to create distinct barriers to save my sanity I just kind of considered everything in its own universe and if it fits nice it fits if not, keep them separate. I know when the writers got fired and the series went downhill and I accept that and just appreciate the old ones while lamenting the new but don't need to come up with cannoness nonsense.

If a film based on Dead or Alive, which might have starred Devon Aoki, Jaime Pressly and Holly Valance, had been released, I would have declared it "non-existent". Luckily, the people responsible and every copy of the film which was ever made all got incinerated in an unlikely, but nevertheless unfortunate, fire.

Curious how things work out, isn't it?

the book 'Maximum Ride: The Final Warning'. The Maximum Ride series is one of my favorite book series ever. And in book 3, it even specifically said that this was the final book. Then this 4th book came out; at first i was excited; i immediately went online and ordered the book. Then as I waited for the book to arrive, I decided to read some reviews and stuff on the book, out of anticipation.

Basically all the reviews said the book sucked, and that the author mainly wrote this book in the series to just increase awareness of global warming. after reading the reviews, i was pretty distraught by what i had learned. but when the book arrived, i figured I'd give it a chance anyway. I read through the first 2 chapters; upon learning that the main villain of the story was a brain in a jar attached to a robot body, and named "the Uber Director", and that he controlled an army of robots,... I shut the book right then and there, and have never looked back.

after that, I'm afraid to even read the newest book in the series, Max. like hell am I going to let James Paterson ruin my favorite series for me!

World of Warcraft. There is no way that's how things are going down after Frozen Throne. Also, there's no way all that 'lore' is true.
You'll see, it's just gonna be some strange nightmare that Malfurion's having, nothing more. Of cause, it'll be another 2 expansions or so before they reveal that. Followed by a Warcraft 4 reveal after he wakes up.

Wait, that kinda makes it canon...shut up.

So many things in my head, it's going to explode! I'll just mention stuff I think hasn't been said yet.

- All these god damn remakes, all of it just to make a quick buck.
- Starcraft 2. I don't give a damn if it's popular, the fuckin' story is garbage.
- Naruto after episode 133 or 134, that goes for Shippuden as well.
- FMA Brotherhood, for the original it's pretty poor.
- South Park after season 13, episode 5. It just became a popular theme parody after.
- Black Sabbath after Ozzy left. I like Dios stuff but they should of given the band a different name.
- Super Smash Brothers Brawl is the perfect example of flash and no substance.
- Lineage 2 after Chronicle 3, before it tried to be WoW.

The first time Rogue had sex in the X-Men comics. For those of you who do not keep up with Marvel Comics, Rogue essentially couldn't touch anyone without her powers sapping the life out of them so sex, let alone intimacy, was impossible for her (past tense, she has control of her powers now).

In a one-shot that portrayed the funeral of a character that everyone hated, multiple characters from the marvel universe were in attendance. The fantastic four, Thor, Iron Man, Cyclops and Rogue. Everyone goes around mentioning a moment that they had with the Sentry, a character readers absolutely hate because he took the piss of superman, he's a *****, and he has no literary value beyond being some over-powered bastard that the other heroes have to take down in order to save him from himself.

So the funeral is happening and when it is Rogue's turn to speak she stumbles over her words about how the Sentry and she were able to do the deed because he had enough power to offset hers...

WHAT THE HELL? A character that was the ultimate virgin, a literary allegory to how dangerous sex can be, lost it to some character nobody likes, that all readers were happy to see die, all to make him undeservingly significant.

While I can't undo what is already done, I wish Rogue was still a virgin and the day that her cherry got popped would have been part of a much better story arc and not some afterthought at some bastard's funeral...

There is no such thing as Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

There is no such thing as Dragonball GT.

There is no such thing as The Matrix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions.

There is no such thing as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Phoenix Wright was never disbarred. He retired with dignity, married Iris, and did not, at any point in time, become a poker playing jerkass with a five o'clock shadow and a daughter. Next year, look out for the spinoff to the Phoenix Wright series: "Maya Fey: Ace Channeler!"
While I agree that Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney wasn't as good as the Phoenix Wright arc, I also don't think it was bad enough to warrant being made non-canon. Plus, considering that Phoenix says at the end of Apollo Justice that he is working on clearing his name and regaining his law license, any negative effects the title might have had on the canon can preety much be safely neutralised.

Russell T. Davies era Doctor Who is not Doctor Who. Horrifically written and completely ignorant of Doctor Who's rich mythos.
A shame, since I like Davies Era Who.

KotOR II comes to mind. Why, oh why would you invalidate everything I did in the previous game by wiping out the Jedi order that I just saved?!

It's also crappy otherwise and doesn't fit with the original at all, so to me it's not part of the canon.
Because Obsidian made it...seriously, have they ever done anything 100%, let alone good?

Anything that celebrates something. Like... the 200th episode. THe 100th episode. The 1000th episode.

And the majroity of Simpsons/Family Guy episodes are non canon, cause very few actually show any progression through time.
They are immortal. They never age.

I heard New Vegas and Alpha Protocol are supposed to be pretty good. I haven't had the chance to play them yet though (not interested in Alpha Protocol and waiting for the GOTY edition of New Vegas).

They only made Crash Bandicoot and Spyro games for the Playstation 1. Any attempt to convince me otherwise will be met with failure.

To be fair, New Vegas is only good because it's more of the same of Fallout 3. And Alpha Protocol was fairly good, but fell just a little short of being remarkable.

No, I have yet to see an Obsidian game that has actually left me feeling impressed without questioning the quality of it in some way.

OT: There are only three Star Wars movies.

There is only one Matrix movie.

There are only three Indiana Jones movies.

Lost got canceled after Season Four.

There was never a prequel novel for Dead Space detailing the origins of Unitology and the role Michael Altman had in it. (This is specifically because it was the single worst novel I've ever written. I could've written something better. Seriously.)
