if I remember the book correctly (its been a while since I read it), the thought was they would die on the island, or that the baby wouldnt be raised correctly. That, or they would die at sea.

And besides, we never learned what ahppened to the other allies of the children.
I may have misinterpreted the implication, but I thought that the idea was that the Baudelaire Children were able to live comfortably alone and away from all the chaos that has faced their lives. The fact that everything else went unaddressed and we were left without knowing much beyond this ending for the Baudelaire Children which, to me, seemed to be a relatively cheery end.

well, maybe I was wrong then. I just didnt see it as positive when.. well.. nah, we ruined the book's ending already. I didnt see it as happy when Kit (?) was pushed out to sea to die.

Dr. Robotnik.
I'm of the mind that Dr.Eggman is the non-canon imposter.
I was a confused 10 year old when sonic shouted - "Oh no, Eggman is getting away!"
my reply - "Is that a new nickname for Dr.Robotnik?"

Sonic adventure was fun but HIS NAME IS ROBOTNIK DAMMIT.

oh deez video gaems, man.

Anything that celebrates something. Like... the 200th episode. THe 100th episode. The 1000th episode.

And the majroity of Simpsons/Family Guy episodes are non canon, cause very few actually show any progression through time.
Just because a show has no regard for linear time does not make any particular part non-canon. Canon is simply that which is accepted as being an official part of a package. There are non-canon episodes of the Simpsons. For example, each haloween special as it is accepted that the events portrayed did not occur in the same universe as the normal events of the show.

There is ONLY one.

Sorry, just had to say it.

OT: I would like to say "Sonic since Sonic vs. Knuckles" but Sonic has one of the most $@#%ed up canons in video games so I have no idea what even begins to "count."

Chrono Cross.

A lot of people really, really liked that game, which is great. But I lost interest after three hours and was soon horrified to discover it turns the entire plot of Chrono Trigger (which I loved) into an enormous "Nice Job Breaking It, Hero" - see TVtropes, if you have six hours to kill.

And, um, then Cross murders or implies the murder of about half of the PCs from Trigger. Most of them are killed off-screen; the notable exception to that is killed within about four lines of his introduction. It doesn't help that cuts resulted in the most interesting bits of Cross's story, such as the return of Magus from Trigger, being removed from the game.

So yeah. Many adore it, but I simply loathe Chrono Cross.

Oh, and also there were no sequels to the Matrix and only three Star Wars movies.

I dunno, I thought that Stargate SG-1's two hundredth episode "200" was pretty darn awesome.

Seems about accurate.

every Stargate SG-1 series after the 8th. Just plain doesn't exist. Illusions from a heat-oppressed brain.
True, that Ori thing kinda had potencial, but the episodes were getting really boring and Richard Dead Anderson was a great loss to the show, didn't help the fact that guy who replace him a less funny clone.

Stargate SG-1 the seasons about the ori was just a bad acid trip for an unknown alien author.

Starwars episode 1? They have yet to make that film, we are still waiting for the story.
