I'm going to assume no one has said them (because no ones heard of them) and say Evergrey. I'm absolutely in love with this band, they're from sweden and probably the most unknown of bands I listen to.

They're also the most beautifully depressed band I listen to.

Heres a few songs to get you started...

Did I mention I love this band?

Bohemian Rhapsody (no need to mention band) always brings tears to my eyes.
Not because its depressing just because the awesomeness of that song is overwhelming.

a fellow Agalloch fan? :O this person has much respect from me ^.^
EDIT: although Ashes Against The Grain was the better album, Falling Snow <3
It's not like they're all that unknown or anything, and they do tend to be severely overrated... but still good stuff.

Fade to Black - Metallica.

Life it seems, will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters no one else
I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things are not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this cant be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me, but now hes gone

No one but me can save myself, but its too late
Now I cant think, think why I should even try

Yesterday seems as though it never existed
Death greets me warm, now I will just say good-bye

'The Great Beyond' has a sort of sad epicness to it, meaning that I always feel sad when I listen to it. It makes me feel like a failure, because I'm nowhere near as epic as that song.

I always thought this song was kind of depressing. Maybe it's just me.
