I can't stand to see people move side-to-side and jump around like a lunatic. More than anything to me, that breaks any immersion that was left after grenade-spamming, aimbots, wallhacks, and "your momma" jokes. Especially if they can dance about like that, then put a bullet (or laser, plasma ball, etc.) smack in your face. Are people incapable of using cover or tactics in a gunfight anymore?
I'm guilty of that. Though it's a lot harder than people think to hit anything when your screen is a mass spasm of colours. It's very effective though, especially in quake/UT/medal of honor style games. Ever wondered why games carry epilepsy warnings?
I'm guilty of nade spamming too ("medal of honor: allied assult"). Though I'm not sure what you guys mean by nade spamming. In the good old days of MoH:AA, if you cocked up your nades and threw them in quick succession over a wall near your enemy's spawn point; that's considered nade spamming. You only get 2 to 4 nades.
I'm guilty of team killing as well, but very occasionally. In games with smoke/gas/flash bang grenades, especially where smoke does damage as you pass it, it is highly amusing to throw as many smoke grenades as you can at the only exit from your team's spawn point. It is also highly amusing to throw flash bangs ("CSS") into the room/alley your team mate is fire fighting in. oh yer, not to mention throwing a smoke nade in front of your team's MG / sniper.
Here's the things I hate:
I hate campers. If you want to use a sniper rifle, the least you can do is move from spot to spot. Move to a spot, look around, no target; move to another spot, look around, see target, shot it; then move to another spot; OR, get your team mates to tell you where the enemy MG / sniper / suppressing fire guy is, and go and get him. You do NOT need to sit in the same spot all game, it's a complete waste of your time, and everyone else's time.
People with 2000dpi mice, then configure them to very sensitive, completely suppresses all recoil on machine guns and goes around rambo style ("Day of defeat"). Or turning 180 degrees in a split second and shooting you as soon as they get hit (that's skill though).
In battlefield '42, people shooting down planes with rifles. People jumping out of planes and catching a plane in mid-air and becoming a gunner. people jumping out of tanks when it's moving, sitting on it, and repairing it. people jumping around like idiots throwing mines randomly around your tank.
In RTS people who rush to the most inbalanced unit in the game, and produce nothing else but that. (all "command conquer" clones)
In RTS people who build a massive blob of units, and just move this massive blob around. No tactics what so ever. Why don't they just play Pacman or something?
I'm waiting for "Battle of the Iron Triangle -- the game" [korean war]. Huge amounts of carpet bombing with hundreds of planes; everything randomly blowing up every 7 seconds from 155mm barrages; all the tanks getting stuck on pixels and invisible walls on the hill; snipers camping in trenches everywhere; infantry throwing unlimited grenades at each others' trenches...... It would have awesome graphics, with dirt flying away soooo realistically, and weather effects, and moving cloud, dynamic lighting, etc. But it would be such aa crap game. only none of the developers could foresee it.
