If Disney tones down the badassness of ANY of the marvel comic characters, I'm going to have a fit.

...WHY!?

Disney, what the HELL are you planning!?

Walt Disney is rolling over in his grave.
Walt Disney was not buried...Walt Disney is frozen beneath DisneyLand. Everyone knows that. ^^
Either way he's going to come back to life and beat the shit out of his own corporation.

I sense a major disturbance in the force that is Marvel. I also sense a nation (if not world) wide boycott of the comics released by Disney.

There's only one way this can work, and that's if disney just leave marvel to their own devices. But if there's any character crossovers.... *shudders at the unthinkable*

I should imagine Disney won't get involved, they will just own and oversee.

Though it makes me worry about some of the lesser titles like, X-Factor, Herc, Iron Fist etc.

I could see Disney having 70 Wolverine comics and 50 Deadpool ones a month because people would buy them, when there is a wealth of great stories out there that are not publicised enough.

I'm hopefully that Disney will regonise that Marvel, being sucessful as it is, is free to make it's own decisions. Marvel does have a lot of bargining power, anytime Disney suggests something stupid they can just point to Iron Man and say "We made that movie. It sold better then any movie you've done in awhile. See this Max-line comics? They've been doing a lot better then the comics you guys have been making. Shut up and let us do our thing." And if that fails, then all the good talent at Marvel can just threaten to leave.

So in short, if Disney tried to fuck with Marvel Marvel can fuck them back. This will hopefully keep Disney's editorial hands off them.

DC owns companies while Marvel gets bought. I used to be a big fan of Marvel, but the simple fact they can't stick to a storly line for more than a few months really annoyed me.

DC comics have been consistently better I think.

The merger itself is a bit odd. Disney aren't a violent company after all.

....I just got the worst feeling in the pit of my stomach. I'm pretty sure it isn't the DiGiorno pizza I ate. This....this just can't go well. I get that $4 billion is a huge chunk of change, but seriously....this is just...so bad.

I think we know what must be done. We must kill Mickey Mouse and END his reign of terror, before it is to late.
Fat chance they've been cloning him for years. We're currently on Micky mark V

I think its to do with the fact Hollywood have got a grip on making movies on comic books and they aren't too shabby, that and they rake in shed loads of cash.
