The more I think about it, the less I'm worried, come to think of it.
So you've got DC, who was bought by Warner Brothers - what exactly changed when they were bought?
Then you've got Marvel, who was just bought by Disney. Do you think Disney are going to be really thick and change the edgy-but-profitable style that Marvel has going? I don't. They may be gushy, they may be family friendly and vomit-inducing, but they're also cunning profiteers that are multi-billionaires. They aren't gonna waste a couple of cool bil to ruin a product that's already working. The most I think will change is a few new characters/character lines that ARE engaging to the audience they are used to, but keeping the general structure of the company the same - letting people get on with what they've been getting on with for the last three years.
I mean, I just read the end of the Deadpool: Suicide Kings arc that came out the other week that concludes with Deadpool banging Crazy Inez (spoiler, haha!). Do you honestly think you're gonna get it the next week and Deadpool will be teaching underprivelaged kids how to read? No. I expect he'll be joking about it constantly, being "in the know".
Who knows? Maybe this is the start of a Disney Captain America movie.
