I like that idea too, but the little whiny kids play a lot better than me.

Well, definitely not in first-person shooters.

But back when I played WoW, I came across this level 5 questing in the Undead starting area (I was on my Alliance Rogue character), minding his own business, inexplicably flagged for PvP. So I killed him. Then later I saw him again, still just questing and minding his own business. So I killed him again.

Then later I saw him talking to this level 60 rogue who promptly disappeared. So I killed the level 5 and was promptly attacked by the level 60 Horde. As we were fighting, the level 5 respawned and started helping the Horde guy out. And then I killed the level 60. And then the level 5 ran away, so I chased him down and killed him.

I felt pretty bad after that.

Only if I'm being a cheap bastard (spawn camping, exploiting, etc.), or if we're utterly dominating the enemy team. Unless the enemy team consists of whiny assholes, then I savor every second of it.

If they are a level 1 newbie in COD then yeah, but at least by watching your killcam you'll be teaching them a trick or two.

Real men play Hardcore difficulty. Killcams are for pussies.

I prefer to assert my masculinity with my missus rather than in an online digital sausage-fest, thank you very much.

Wow this is new.

I've felt bad for the homeless. I've felt bad for my school janitor. I've even felt bad for lobsters and crabs.

But online multiplayer?.....
...
No, not really.

In an online multiplayer, I'm generally gleeful when I kill someone (usually because they would have otherwise killed me).
In single player, on the other hand, I sometimes feel guilty when I kill innocents.

No. Never. The closest I've ever come was killing someone in COD 4 who was clearly a new player telling from his performance. I thought something along the lines of "I hope he gets the hang of the game soon, n00bs always get harassed on Live". Then he plugged in his headphones and called me a shitclown. It's a wonderful freakin' Live XD. Outside of multiplayer, I've felt bad for killing the colossi from SoTC.
