That would make an interesting twist
Well it would keep with the theme of bringing back old enemies for finales, and with Moffat's wish to not depend solely on the Daleks for drama. Besides, Omega is probably obscure enough that not many people would realise who he is, or pick up on hints of his return, keeping the mystery intact.
I had never heard of Omega until I read the 10 Doctors fan comic :S

Because people are discussing why a pen that is red is important, that is why :p
Well, if the pen isn't red, it counteracts the Blinovitch Limitation, and the Doctor can't repair it because of the same limitation. That means that he's already experienced something that can't happen. Which means...

I don't know why everyone's going on about the red pen. It had to be red as the note the Doctor recieved from Amy was red. So Amy has to write it in red so as not to disrupt the timeline and the Doctor in the past can still recieve it when he gets kicked from the Tardis. Timey wimey ball.
Exactly! Moffat didn't HAVE to tell us the pen had to be red, but he did! The episode could have done without the Doctor saying the pen needed to be red, but he did, implying cosmic significance and setting a paradox that can't be changed if done wrong.

Thank you for making me spit drink all over my keyboard. Now I'm off to read up on this Omega character.

Edit: Read up, and if its him they REALLY need to get him a decent stylist.

There's rumours that at one point they're going to be doing an episode of Dr. Who which features every single Doctor ever (or rather, accurate representations of them). Cameos of some older doctors have been appearing all over the place this series, and what could POSSIBLY be a more dramatic point to place every single doctor ever?

The explosion of the TARDIS, every single major Dr. Who enemy ever converging on one place and time, pieces of space and time that should never exist crashing together and the ensuing cracks deleting people from the time-line and a VERY high River Song density, as well as the frequent referrals to the most feared man in the universe?

If the Ood appear again I'm gunna fucking kill someone. Same with Rose, Torchwood and Donna. They should really keep a lid on that now that 10 is dead.

Or its a "red" herring to make people theorise and agonise for the next week :p

But he did have to tell Amy as that version of Amy hadn't created the note yet. So if she wasn't told and just wrote it in any colour it would have altered something in the past that couldn't be changed.

Moffat has already said he isn't bringing back any old companions

I was thinking the same thing. That multiple Doctors would show up as they have been showing them off all season.

My point is. The audience didn't need to know it, hence why did he say it if it wasn't of at least some significance?

£5 says this is more likely!

Bwehehe. 'Red' herring. I agree, I think this will be more likely than it bearing some significance though.
I have confidence that if he does show up then he will look suitibly awesome and scary, afterall the styling team have been doing super cool things this season.

Theme? Lol it's laziness and i'm sick of it.

On my mindwipe theory: Tardis fans will know what I mean: Did anyone notice that
Sophie and Dave still know all about the Doctor?

And who exactly built the
mock-TARDIS

as that was never explained...

Well now that Russel T Davies isn't in control it will hopefully stop. Besides, they have created quite a lot of new monsters (most of which were done by Stephen Moffat) and they were all scary very well done, mostly.

I don't know... and honestly... I find myself not giving a good god damn. This episode was boring and this villian whoring is even more boring.

The Darleks just got better from... BEING ERASED FROM EXXXXISTTAAANCE!

What do you mean they still know? Why wouldn't they

Amy/Rory don't remember the Autons (either time)/Cyberman invasion/Slitheen, even before events happened.

In fact, very few people the Doctor has met remember them...And the duckpond still doesn't have any ducks.

I thought we were assuming that was all to do with the cracks!
