Call me a twat, but I hate that very single problem that the doctor gets into has a very easy and roundabout solution.(Steven Moffat should add more subtlety into his episodes)
I dunno, it might be quite interesting. I mean, practically the whole of the 10th Doctor's series' became one massive story arch in the end with people, plots and themes crossing over from one to the other like with the bad wolf, the cult of Skaro, New Earth, the Ood, the Master etc.Eisenfaust said:multi-seasonal story arch? GUH!

First, damaged or not, a Cybermen is still made of at least two sheets of metal and some innards inside. Rory's sword goes clean through the chest plate, the back plate and a solid wooden door. That is clearly superhuman. I thought of that, why didn't the Doctor (I'll give Amy that she was drugged at the time, so she has an excuse).first the cyberman body was clearly damaged on some level, which would have made it easier to finish off with a sword, not having a head in it would have also made it structurally weaker, which could have been why the Doctor never thought much about it. the part where it moved without a head isn't that hard to imagine, it probably still had backup power to move, cybermen are suppose to augment normal human strength so the exoskeleton would need some motors to move a little bit, at the least enough to get a new host body.
As for the Cyberman having backup power... still doesn't make sense. Cybermen couldn't just "eat" a human body before, they needed surgical proceedings to break apart the body and use the parts. They are not armour, we know this because the Doctor cracked one open on season 2, and they are supposed to need a human brain to function. If they can aim and shoot a gun without a head and assimilate a human without one of those conversion booths, why do the Cybermen bother with those things in the first place?
Smith's accent sounds very similar to the one Tennant acted with.liveslowdiefast said:Good, but it's incredably easy to visulise david tennant saying all the lines, smith is very simalar in charicter to the previous doctor.

Totally different Cybermen in Series 4 to the one in this series
Yes me and all my friends assume the Dr Who crew f**ked up and when it turned out to be that our minds EXPLODED!TimeLord said:Twas PoliceBox63 in our groupMrBacon said:Firstly, massive congratulations.TimeLord said:-snip-
Secondly, wasn't it "Because right now I'm not" ?
Thirdly, confusing but amazing episode.
Fourthly, who was it that suggested that the Doctor in the forest in the Byzantiun was a different Doctor? Whoever it was (Root maybe?), is a genius!![]()
I watched it on BBC HD on Saturday! It was glorious!LordCuthberton said:I just watched it in HD glory.
Amazing.

Welcome to the wonderful mind of the Internet Hate Machine. The people who watched Doctor Who just to point out the flaws are just like the people who watch Game Dogs to mock the jokes and insult the animation. And to be fair, a lot of other people are hating on Davies as well for his contributions to the show over four seasons.SirBryghtside said:But what I always thought was wierd about this series was how everyone thought it was 'cool' (even the nerds) to say how bad the series was. And yet they still watched it, learnt all of the lore, and picked out the tiniest of things to criticise that a normal watcher doesn't notice.
Where did all this hate come from?

OT: Not the best series finale but pretty good and probably the most fun! I still enjoy the show.
