Sounds like your asking for ValenWOOD... its has that name for a reason, plenty of trees.miracleofsound said:The Capitol Wasteland. Oh wait, that's where they set the previous Elder Scrolls...
Sorry I just had top get that in there, I don't think FO3 and Oblivion are too similar
I think I need a little light hearted sunny meadow action after so many mournful hours admiring the wasteland... so hopefully somewhere pretty with lots of trees
That's not a bad idea. Just take Oblivion and use the sequel money to make a whole game's worth of new quests, new locations, better textures, and for God's sake, character models that don't look like confused plastic dolls. The PC version had a lot of really fantastic mods for the game that altered it substantially (companion character, photo-realistic textures, better weather and creature effects and models), and Bethesda could just buy a few of those and toss them on the old game. They could release the game again, with expansions added, and I bet you it would sell at least half as well as it did the first time, and most of those buyers would be console people who never got to experience all those mods (as long as the price was right.)willgreg123 said:If I may quote Yahtzee, it's got little bits of Branston Pickle but with too big a sandwitch. It's not like they don't have the ability to put more Branston Pickle on it though! They just need to take what they had in Oblivion and use the same budget they'd get for a sequal to build it up to a really truly immersive game that would have many layers of interesting gameplay, instead of just two or three layers of gameplay with only one jar of Branston Pickle to spread over what would resemble a football field.
Is that an area from a previous ES?Snowalker said:Sounds like your asking for ValenWOOD... its has that name for a reason, plenty of trees.miracleofsound said:The Capitol Wasteland. Oh wait, that's where they set the previous Elder Scrolls...

I'd love multiple regions as Morrowind and Cyrodiil are the biggest and have already been done. I really like the idea of Elsweyr, Valenwood and Summerset Isle.Setting
This is pretty open still within the lore that has been created for this series. Two core ideas we have would be to try multiple territories. The last two titles have focused on just one area of the continent of Tamriel, the last being the imperial province of Cyrodil. This time, why not do a few. The north region of High Rock, Hammerfell and Skyrim are human settled and could serve up some epic George R.R. Martin style politics. Or maybe we could head south and use Elsweyr, Valenwood and Summerset Isle, which are homes to the Kajiit, Wood Elves and High Elves respectively. The water between could introduce some ship-based game concepts?and even pirates!

I was kinda hoping the place would be muhc the same as in IVSnowalker said:I have been wondering for a while where will this story take place? I thought it might take place in the summerset isles due to the rumor of deadric worship becoming more prevelent. I, personally, would like to see it take place in Valenwood, it would make for a very hard game though. No city, no use of veggies, and no use of wood, and its a very dense forest, so it could be like a maze through most of the game. I find this all kinda of fun though, it seems like it would give you this survivor feel rather than just the usual hack n' slash of Oblivion.
No, but if you read a little bit on the lore, the places have background info. Valenwood is just one huge forest, basically.miracleofsound said:Is that an area from a previous ES?Snowalker said:Sounds like your asking for ValenWOOD... its has that name for a reason, plenty of trees.miracleofsound said:The Capitol Wasteland.
