The Capitol Wasteland. Oh wait, that's where they set the previous Elder Scrolls...

Sorry I just had top get that in there, I don't think FO3 and Oblivion are too similar ;)

I think I need a little light hearted sunny meadow action after so many mournful hours admiring the wasteland... so hopefully somewhere pretty with lots of trees

Sounds like your asking for ValenWOOD... its has that name for a reason, plenty of trees.

I wanna got to the Summerset Isles. Skyrim sounds like just a bunch of snow.

I wouldn't mind it taking place in Black Marsh and southern Morrowind, that would be very swampy.

If I may quote Yahtzee, it's got little bits of Branston Pickle but with too big a sandwitch. It's not like they don't have the ability to put more Branston Pickle on it though! They just need to take what they had in Oblivion and use the same budget they'd get for a sequal to build it up to a really truly immersive game that would have many layers of interesting gameplay, instead of just two or three layers of gameplay with only one jar of Branston Pickle to spread over what would resemble a football field.
That's not a bad idea. Just take Oblivion and use the sequel money to make a whole game's worth of new quests, new locations, better textures, and for God's sake, character models that don't look like confused plastic dolls. The PC version had a lot of really fantastic mods for the game that altered it substantially (companion character, photo-realistic textures, better weather and creature effects and models), and Bethesda could just buy a few of those and toss them on the old game. They could release the game again, with expansions added, and I bet you it would sell at least half as well as it did the first time, and most of those buyers would be console people who never got to experience all those mods (as long as the price was right.)

Of course, the kids today just have to have new new NEW all the time, or reflection might set in and they'd actually start having to appreciate a game for all the hard work and artistic expression that goes into it. And who wants to play games to think?

What i heard was skyrim.

But i'd like to see either summerset or one that took place entirly in one a the daedric realms. Like quagmire or moonshadow.
Or i'd like one that was either in akavir or had the option to go to akavir.

Is that an area from a previous ES?

Interesting article on gameinformer.com... relevant part quoted below:

http://www.gameinformer.com/News/Story/200903/N09.0318.1805.56285.htm

Setting
This is pretty open still within the lore that has been created for this series. Two core ideas we have would be to try multiple territories. The last two titles have focused on just one area of the continent of Tamriel, the last being the imperial province of Cyrodil. This time, why not do a few. The north region of High Rock, Hammerfell and Skyrim are human settled and could serve up some epic George R.R. Martin style politics. Or maybe we could head south and use Elsweyr, Valenwood and Summerset Isle, which are homes to the Kajiit, Wood Elves and High Elves respectively. The water between could introduce some ship-based game concepts?and even pirates!

I'd love multiple regions as Morrowind and Cyrodiil are the biggest and have already been done. I really like the idea of Elsweyr, Valenwood and Summerset Isle.
Morrowind hasnt been done, it was just Vvardenfell.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say a different continent to Tamriel.

Sure, it's illogical what with all the prior building of the Elder Scrolls universe, but I'm feeling that all the other provinces of Tamriel could be majorly disappointing. Also, we'd get some new player races. Could be interesting.

Hammerfell then.

You can already go to northern Hammerfell in Daggerfall.

I want Blackmarsh, but then I always play Argonians, and have done since Daggerfall.

I have been wondering for a while where will this story take place? I thought it might take place in the summerset isles due to the rumor of deadric worship becoming more prevelent. I, personally, would like to see it take place in Valenwood, it would make for a very hard game though. No city, no use of veggies, and no use of wood, and its a very dense forest, so it could be like a maze through most of the game. I find this all kinda of fun though, it seems like it would give you this survivor feel rather than just the usual hack n' slash of Oblivion.
I was kinda hoping the place would be muhc the same as in IV

No, but if you read a little bit on the lore, the places have background info. Valenwood is just one huge forest, basically.

Honestly I don't know. I REALLY want to go back to Vvardenfall with an expansion. That would make it my favorite game ever.
