Games: Final Fantasy VIII
Movies: Iron Man
TV Shows: Star Trek: The Next Generation
Anime: Gungrave
Comics/Manga: Deathnote

All of these endings left me with a warm feeling inside and very content with what had transpired.
I bed to differ on deathnote:
I didn't want Light to die, i thought he was right all along.

I'd have to say Eureka Seven and Fullmetal Alchemist. Well, that's still going. So Eureka Seven.

I never understood the appeal of Watchmen. I watched it, thought the intro was a cool alt-history then as the movie wore on I got progressively more bored and underwhelmed, and if I might say; a little uneasy at a naked blue man everywhere. The ending did nothing for me, I thought it sucked, and I was glad the whole ordeal was over.

As for a good ending, I'd have to go with Snatch, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels or any other heist movie. They all have a tendency to end with a nice twist and reveal, and never a disappointment.

CrackDown had this strangely appealing mind fuck ending. (I honestly though the game was not going to have a sequel) Also Mass effect (The ending music was also amazing, just see the music video for the song:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gISlB1IdUjI) Finaly my favarite: Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. That game was flipping epic.

Video Games: Dawn of War 1's ending was pretty awsome, Gabriel Angelos looks a demon/god thing in the eye and basically tells it to go fuck itself and then just walks away, no fear or anything because he's just that awsome. TIE Fighter's ending has you rescueing the fucking Emperor with Darth Vader as your Wingman, yes please.
Anime: A few good ones. Gundam 0083 had quite the bittersweet ending, but it was a nice change from standard gundam "and the liberals made the whole world better NO EXCEPTIONS". Chrono Crusade (I refuse to spell it Chrno) basically takes this to it's logical extreme, and pulls it off rather well. Kaishaku (a studio) does pretty good endings (in anime, avoiding their mangas like poison is a good way to go).
Film: Passchendaele, Der Untertang, Original Star Wars movies, Dark Knight.
Literature: The Hunchback of Notre Dame(and I don't mean the disneyized version), suprisingly, some of the Halo books, Rainbow 6.

The ending in the comic was much worse. It was random, out of the blue, deus ex machina. At least the movie version had some connection to the plot and story.

The Departed, i totally did not see the whole 20 odd plot twists in the last half hour coming. Also reservoir dogs and sin city.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time still has my favourite ending ever. The ending to the movie Lucky Number Slevin was also very good, but it's probably just sticking out in my head because it was the last movie I saw.

A book called Pillars of the Earth was perfect. It began with a hanging that spawned injustice, hate, and tyranny, and ended with a hanging that produced justice, closure, and an end to all evil. It was just... brilliant.

Also loved the ending to Ocarina of Time. Kind of bitter-sweet.
Wow, the Pillars of the Earth. I'll grant you the ending MAY be great, but I don't know; I could never get that far. The beginning was horrible and I couldn't bring myself to get past the first 50 pages. Once he started describing afterbirth, I was done.

Ocarina of Time was good. :)

Mass Effect. It both offered a sense of closure while baiting a sequel at the same time.
it was also a lot of fun cos you go to kill the council for being such douchebags the whole way through the game....

Agreed.

The ending to Mafia was brilliant. I liked Crysis' ending as well - I know it was just a sequel bait (everyone already knew it was a trilogy though) and it gave a really epic feel.

PoP: Sands of Time ending was really good, and was also pretty sad.
