Actually I think that game did get a few really good reviews, but I don't think it sold well at all. Yeah I had the game too and it was pretty fun.

InFamous is my number 1 choice
Had an awful lot of people saying "get Prototype instead", so I did...Prototype was pure shite. Not the shite with little nuts of fun and sweetcorns of greatness...Just shite through and through

InFamous is better all around. Gameplay is better, side missions have a point, visuals are better, isnt as emo as Prototype and is just generally great

for me, Prototype was an underappreciated gem that just needed some small gameplay and story elements tweaked and it would have been the perfect superhero/villian sandbox game. but unfortunately some REALLY frustrating things like cheap enemies and a story that didnt tie in well with the gameplay were noticeable flaws.

im disappointed the game wont be getting a sequel... which is why i need to make one myself (deal with it)

To be fair to him though, you said that InFamous was better all round, the key words missing in your post was I think.

EDIT: Plus you stated that Prototype was pure shite, all you had to say was you thought it was shit, surely you didn't expect to get no reaction whatsoever from slagging off a game, and claiming that another one was so much better.

People don't need to say "I think" or "in my opinion", though. We're all smart enough to recognize an opinion when we see one and move on.

Dragon Age: Origins

I keep hearing people complain about it but I don't see why. Sure there are some parts that could be better but overall I think it's a good game.

And all I hear is people praising it... it's a weird world we live in.

Yeah, I think some people are exaggerating the hate some games receive. Dragon Age is one. Knights of the Old Republic 2 is another. I played it three times and don't remember any bugs. From what I recall back when it was released, people were more disappointed with the ending. I'd still say it's more loved than hated. And Modern Warfare 2. It's wildly popular, even here.

i can understand if someone just didn't like the story or its not there type of gameplay..but most people seemed to just spam like a bunch of yahtzee sheep "BARK! BADDDDDDDDD GAME BUGS BAD BARK BADDDDD!" with little to no evidence.

the most recent game like that i believe was, mount and blade: a friend showed it too me at a party and seconds later a whole bunch of my friends started bashing the game and saying it sucks incredibly much.
anyways i went home and bought it a few weeks later, turned out to be one of the most addicting and fun games iv ever played!!

Sonic Adventure 1,2 (ALL 3d sonic games are bad? Yeah right)

Another is Quest 64. Look, the camera was akward, the music is unsettling, but COME ON! People say it's the worst RPG in existance!(Website and everything!) Isn't that going a little bit overboard!? I generally liked the game. The element mixing was engaging and the monster designs and stategies are great. And the hell of it is I'm probably part of a 3% minority! I don't see why! The game isn't the best, but I don't think it deserved the backlash it got. There's actually worse RPGs out there.

The word everybody is not particularly applicable here, but the massive hatred for MW2 on here has always left me perplexed and shocked.

And, yes, I've played the PC version.

Also, the next gen Double Agent. Haven't experienced a single bug.

I don't think the hatred is set aside for MW2 is because it's particularly bad, more because it wasn't as good[footnote]It has shorter single player, no dedicated servers on PC, smaller multiplayer games (as a result) as well as arguably worse perks/maps than it's predecessor, it just didn't feel as lovingly crafted as any of the earlier call of duty games.[/footnote] as previous games in the series and was met with huge commercial success. I'm confident that if it had received mediocre reviews and was punished by the media for it's shortfallings (rather than being touted as 'teh bestest thing evar!1') it would have a solid fanbase and those that hate it would simply have no interest.

Alright, got quoted like three times, decided I'll respond to the biggest comment.

I would seriously argue that it's not worse than Modern Warfare. Yes, the dedicated servers are a good thing and the MP in the first game was better - but the campaign is probably the biggest evolution I've ever seen.

Yes, the first game's campaign was absolutely great, but it didn't have the absolute mayhem of special effects and set pieces of the second one. If Call Of Duty 4 had a bunch of stand-out moments, Modern Warfare 2 was all one big standout moment.

I also played World At War for that occasion, game that is lauded as good for people who disliked MW2.

I have no idea ho anyone could reach that conclusion with the frankly empty campaign it has.

Also, another reason I found MW2 superior to the previous installments was the amazing, challenging coop mode. I still play Spec Ops.

Spec Ops was so good, because it was not a coop campaign - the action was more condensed, more varied, oh, and you didn't have to watch the same cutscenes 50 fucking times (Reach, World At War).

Just wanna go on record saying i loved 1-5 hated 6-9. (takes a deep breath)

Final Fantasy XIII. It is my second most favorite game of all time. The story the characters the gameplay the attention to deatil. All the weapons the experimenting. The story makes me feel good and warmth everytime i beat it and i will somedays just decide to beat it again.

Masterpeice.

what really? its the ugly ducking? I thought that was the pinnacle of the series, well another age hmm its a tough fight but i think FA is the best purley cause the story. Everytime i hear "Thermidor here" i get chills. For ORCA!! I am the last but it wont be for long come AC5 am rebuilding orca!. (Sorry i love this game so much lol)

Yeah the story is dumb, the main character is a tough as nails guy who eats gravel for breakfeast, and it handles poorly, but damn is it fun. It's got a great B-Movie feel, and the graphics are pretty damn good. I always compare it to the last Rambo movie
