More Mad Max was my first thought too, followed by NPC's that blink and look around when they talk to you...The Great JT said:I say more Mad Max. To the point of giving us the one thing that Mad Max is known for: THE THUNDERDOME.
Also, bigger area this time. Like...North Carolina. Let's see the Tobacco Road Rivalry (UNC and Duke) spill over into a war! Then nobody can dispute that NC State is better!
What was I talking about?
I think vehicles would ruin the sense of tramping across the wasteland. Also please explain how they would make a car mechanic that would be able to make it through the wastelands junk filledness. I personally love the item abundance. The fact that in fallout 3 those cans on the floor can actually be interacted with (and the fact that they are there in the first place) makes it feel like it picked up the interaction scheme from half life 2 and the added the rpg element by allowing you you to take it. Vehicles are a big no no. Maybe 2 vehicles could be permitted. I think a small motorbike in some corner of the wasteland would be okay and also a riding brahmin could work.GunnerGraye said:Chill out man. I agree with Pedro. And who says you need a behemoth SUV to traverse the landscape? Somebody find a bike for god's sake. The Amazing Orgazmo said:For the last fucking time, "Fallout" may have been some-what inspired by "MadMax", but, in all esssence, its different you idiot! Was there any radiation in the series? Any mutated fiona? Any black-humor? No!!! And in case your not up to speed, there has'nt been a working ground vehicle since the bombs dropped! So, unless President Tandi of the North California Republic was finally able to make a new mode of Transportation like she kept blabbering about, in the Wasteland, then...noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PedroSteckecilo said:Add in Vehicles, why? Also I'd like to see a better story, better character writing and some more effectual dialogue choices available. Also, bring back the Low/High Int/Cha Dialogue Choices!
But judging how giant of a leap forward Fallout 3 was from Oblivion, I have a feeling that Fallout 4 will be the game I'm REALLY waiting for.
Well yes. The FO world is a nasty place and being any of the above has nasty consequences. If you become a slaver then nobody will like you, often shooting at you on sight, ditto for childkiller. The important part is the scope of moral choices available to you, in FO3 the only real choice is blow up megaton or diffuse the bomb, and you make this choice before you're an hour or two into the game.Mr_spamamam said:true. then they might bring back the options that you had in fallout 2 to become a porn star, or a mobster or a graverobber or just a really nasty child killing bastardedinflames said:Less Bethesda, more Black Isle.Mariena said:Less Oblivion, more Fallout. Actually, the Fallout series was well established before hand. Whereas Bethesda did a great job, others would have done just as well. Interplay may have even done better.ansem1532 said:..and they've made exactly how many DLC's for TES?Sparrow Tag said:Not after Fallout's record sales. My point made by your DLC remark, as to the record sales, what the hell do you think made Fallout 3 so popular?
It was made by Bethesda.
What made Bethesda astoundingly famous to the "stereotypical average gamer"?
TES: Oblivion
That made Bethesda famous, and to my extent of knowledge, a new Elder Scrolls is more anticipated than Fallout 4.
The workers at Bethesda aren't dumbasses, and they know what makes a good game sequel.
Simple answer- Time
For example: Halo 2 was an astounding sequel, with a edge-on-your-seat cliffhanger. Now did they come out with Halo 3 the next year or so? No
The kept everyone waiting, and look at halo's huge success right now.
They won't come out with Fallout 4 before TES 5, because the anticipation for a new Elder Scrolls is too good to pass up.
Yey. This game would be awesome. I wanted to ride the hoverbikes SO badly!PedroSteckecilo said:Add in Vehicles, why? Because VATSing the Gas Tank of a Mad Max esque dune buggy would be awesome!
