What do I want to see?

- Higher level cap, perhaps 40? 50?
- Better AI. I'd love it if stealth-oriented enemies would try to sneak up on me if they caught me unaware. Good AI would make for more interesting fights. For example, you'd find a good sniping spot and then cover your backside by planting explosives such as remote-controlled and/or proximity mines, because you know if you're spotted the enemy might try to flank or get behind you.
- Better voice acting.
- Better atmosphere that makes you think more than just a casual "I'm in the middle of nowhere, where do I go from here hmm? Soooo many possibilities." and actually gives a sense of real danger.
- More choice in player housing, such as location and accessories. Keep the way you drag stuff around in mid-air the way it is, but when you're in your house, you should be able to pick them up and effortlessly carry them around as if they were weightless, in the same vein as Garry's Mod. That'll make it easier and more fun to decorate your living quarters.
- More armor and player accessories. Also, more variety in them. I wouldn't mind being able to add cybernetic upgrades to my left or right arm (or both), for example, so that my unarmed attacks could be more powerful or I could have reduced weapon sway when aiming. Another example is putting certain upgrades on my legs so that I can run faster or longer distances. Head-wear visors and/or cybernetic eye implants could allow me to detect specific types of enemies before they detect me and perhaps, if done right, provide some real-time tactical information such as revealing hidden weapons underneath the outfits of people I've just confronted or who have just confronted me. Perhaps some upgrades might bring certain disadvantages along with their benefits as well. Maybe I could mod my armor, such as adding kevlar/armor plates or a bandolier for added ammunition space. Just think of the possibilities!
- More mutated animals.
- More random encounters. Also, a substantial variety in them.
- More variety in female facial features and face structure. In Fallout 3, they all look exactly the same. Ugh.
- More variety in enemies. I wouldn't mind seeing some creepy Silent Hill shit coming at me. I want to see enemies that look threatening and dangerous.
- More cool perks that add more to game-play than just increasing skill stats.
- More cool spots with interesting features (like Dunwich with its hallucinations).
- More weapons (craft-able and otherwise). I want to see explosives with remote detonators.
- Customizable weapons (add accessories, fire-modes, etc).
- Gore customization (it gets boring when overdone, that's why I never select the Bloody Mess perk... plus, I get tired of seeing every enemy's head and limbs explode).
- Ability to blow off limbs without your target actually dying. "Aww fuck you blew my arm off!" It would make combat a lot more interesting too. Blow his head off, instant death. Blow his arm off, he'll lose the ability to use two-handed weapons and he might resort to using a one-handed weapon in his intact hand. Blow both arms off, soon die from blood loss. Blow one leg off, he'll limp around. Blow two legs off, have fun crawling around and eventually dying from blood loss. And that would apply to human enemies. A mutant might of course not be so hindered by the loss of its limbs. Blow the tail off a Radscorpion and it won't be able to sting you, obviously, but it'll still come at you with its claws (unless you get rid of them too).
- Imagine the possibilities the developers could have with the radio stations. You could actually tune into a certain station and it would provide news-style updates on the effects you had on the world like in Fallout 3, but perhaps you could also glean indirect tactical data from such news reports on the outside world. For example, the radio announcer might inadvertently mention to his audience that there are certain bad guys outside in a certain place looking for a certain individual such as yourself or another unlucky person. He might even mention that they are heavily armed and look dangerous. The radio news announcer could also mention places of interest that you might like to go to.

Eh, I could go on.

NOTHING! I want my Elder Scrolls 5 God dammit!

Ok, ok. I would like to see a construction set, like the G.E.C.K. Since the game is not made by Bethesda themselves I am not sure if it will be featured though :/

Iron Sights, for the love of god. In Fallout 3, when you held left trigger, your character would just lean forward a bit, but while in third person, it seemed like your character looked down the sights. But in reality, only the scoped guns let you look directly down the sights.

Also, friendly AI with a brain, new weapons, new perks, a high level cap, a large, interesting open world, a decent plot, and, most importantly, interesting characters.

Bethesda had a bit of a problem with interesting characters (Oblivion's only real interesting characters were the first emperor and Sheogorath from the Shivering Isles), and Fallout 3 being somewhat hit and miss, so hopefully Obsidian does a better job with the characters.

some sort of online multiplayer, not like CoD, but more like Borderlands. A campaign co-op multiplayer

Well i have to say, love every one of your ideas.
Why are you not working on this game??

More housing is a definite must! I'd also like an easier way of placing items.
I like decorating my room you see and just dragging stuff in mid air can get quite frustrating.

Also, thank you for describing my loss of limb idea in good detail.

I want the low intelligence environmental mods back. They were always fun to learn about.

More humour like in Fallout 1 and 2, specifically the ability to target the groin again with hilarious results.

Less glitches.
Other than that... Maybe a few more friendly faces, and by that I mean that we should have companions like in the first 2, which we're getting anyway, so I'm quite content.

REPAIRING ITEMS SHOULDN'T COST COPIES OF OTHER FUCKING ITEMS
Still, its better than just smacking it with a hammer like in Oblivion?
Nothing needs to be "like Oblivion", since that's the main reason i didn't like FO3 to begin with. Too much like bloody Oblivion.

Sure, the repair skill needed a use, but
1. items degrade too fast
2. carrying around 5 chinese assault rifle because i wanna be at peak capacity and don't know whether i'll be fighting soldiers or radscorpions for the next 4 hours is bad.game.design.

There's lots of junk in FO3. Junk i never used because i was never interested in schematics. There was even a "Junk" item ffs. How about making some of that junk act as spare parts? Do i have to design the game for you, Bethesda?
But yeah, Obsidian. Fingers crossed.
I do like the junk idea.
However.. not knowing what's going to be happing for the next 4 hours.. I don't see that as Bad game design, it's the wasteland. I love the sense of not knowing what will happen, roaming just trying to survive.

That's why the hardcore mode will be very welcome to me.

The OP idea for dismemberment was freakin seet. I'd also like to be able to shoot them in the eyes while using VATS.....you know, like Fallout 2.

1. Fewer bugs. So maybe I should say "playability".

2. I'd love to see more interesting towns. There were just too few locations that were truly memorable in Fallout 3. Whereas I can probably (10+ years on) draw some of the fallout 2 towns from the top of my freaking head. This is actually where some of the DLC impressed me, so I know they can do it. I'm looking forward to some of the more colourful locations in this installment.

Oh and the ability to make towns like you by getting a good reputation. I want to feel like I'm welcome if I freaking save the day.

Oh and super mutants that can talk unlike these bullshit ogre-boogeymen things

The only game related change I really want is a decent level of customisation when it comes to character appearance.

Fallout 3 the character is supposed to be 19 and yet the guys always look around 30 and get practically no decent options; There is basically about 20 slightly differing varieties of the same hair/facial hair and that's about it.
Agreed, a thousand times this.
Also, yes that trailer does look awesome but, it's essentially the same as the Fallout 3 trailer: Start with a piece of barely functioning steampunk technology, play some swing music, then zoom out to the bigger picture and an example of 'maybe it's a person, maybe it's a a robot' life looking at or towards the camera.
