Gosford Park is a brilliant exploration of the class system in Britain, with finely crafted and unique characters. Hence, it's unheard of.

Uh... Mirrormask? Or Das Boot, if that counts as obscure, it's probably extremely popular. At least it should be.
Das Boot is the WWII sub film, right? I loved that, it really gives an insight into the fear they must have felt. Back on track, erm...I really have no idea. Can't think of an obscure film I've watched apart from that.

EDIT: looking up, I've seen Saints and Soldiers. Good film.

I'm not sure how 'obscure' it is, but I had never heard of Cashback until I saw it on DVD. It's actually awesome.

Also, I second Repo! - randomly found it in a DVD rental store, rented it because it looked awesomely terrible. It wasn't actually too bad.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. If you haven't watched it, then you have not lived.

Also, I'd say Crank is pretty obscure, it's heading into a cult classic wannabee, but nonetheless it's a good movie.

Gingersnaps makes me happy. And "Returner" with Takeshi Kaneshiro. They are obscure in America, anyways. :<
OOOH, and Jean De Florette.

Edit: Herald and Maude isn't obscure to older people but it is weird. I love that movie so much... Cat Stevens is great for everything.

Oh, repo was great! It was weird seeing the chic from Spy Kids in that. XD

You know what? Fight Club.

I don't care if it qualifies as obscure, but it was weird and fucking awesome.

Ginger Snaps, good call. Terrific low budget movie.

I REALLY want to see the Hurt Locker, and MOON, but I have to wait for the DVDs

I certainly hope these are obscure enough...

This Is Spinal Tap - It's a mock-you-mentry (rock documentary done to spoof) of 80s metal band Spinal Tap. The funny thing is that the guys from the movie are actually making music and have been featured in Guitar Hero and Rock Band. The movie is a scream and a must-own for metal fans who want to get a guffaw out of the genre. The best part is the airport scene when the bassist gets held up at the metal detector. I won't spoil anything, go check Youtube if you're curious.
Absoluteness Love that film

OT; The Fall; A fairly trippy film that focus' on a man wanting to die telling stories to a young girl to get her to get him painkillers so he can overdose. Also a homage to old fashioned stunt men. The last five minutes showcases some ridiculous stunts they perform

Saints and Soldiers was quite a good World War 2 movie.
The Woodsman was excelent, if depressing

And I know Leon isn't really obscure, but I don't know anyone else who has seen it.
Probably the reason few people have seen Leon is that it's so hard to get a hold of on DVD nowadays. That was (and still is) the case for me.

Mine is Blood Simple, an early Coen Brothers film, which has one of the best soundtracks ever. The main theme is deliciously haunting.
I suppose isn't that obscure, but nobody I know has ever heard of it.

Mine would be "How to Rob a Bank". I caught it on the independent film channel and loved it.
Is that the one where they use a fake piggy bank with a souped up remote controlled fire engineen in it?
No, its about some poor bastard in the wrong place at the wrong time who ends up getting locked in a vault while a robbery is happening. I highly recommend it.

Angels Egg, its an animated art house sort of flick from the 80's about the Apocalypse or at least that's what I think it's about. There's almost no dialogue in the whole movie but the music, art, and atmosphere are superb.

Repo! The Genetic Opera

Never heard anyone talk about it, never saw any advertisement and I haven't found it on DVD.
The only reason I know it existed is because of TvTropes and the wikipedia effect.
Zomg, I'm actually going to buy you a bakery to supply you cookies for life.

Also, My Little Eye. A creepy film that was actually really good.

Oh, and Live!. About a fictional gameshow where Russian Roulette is played on live TV. Yeah...
