Kabluey, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (or anything written by Charlie Kauffman), Harold and Maude, Being There, A Clockwork Orange, Science of Sleep, Rocket Science, and anything directed/written by Wes Anderson/Christopher Guest/the Coen brothers (if you count that as obscure)

Mirrormask was a great one
Ahh, MirrorMask. Oh yes.

My pick, I'd say The Fall. It was obscure even in the rare films theaters here. Go on, just say it wasn't. Better yet, just say you've seen it.

Gotta love the mentions of Repo, Plan 9 and cube but how about these

1) Paulie Shore is Dead - Hillarious mocumentary by the 80's star
2) The Machienest - By far one of the weirdesd film's I've ever seen
3) Immortal - the weirdest damn movie ever and pretty damn obscure if you ask me.

Gingersnaps makes me happy. And "Returner" with Takeshi Kaneshiro. They are obscure in America, anyways. :<
OOOH, and Jean De Florette.
Ginger Snaps, good call. Terrific low budget movie.

I REALLY want to see the Hurt Locker, and MOON, but I have to wait for the DVDs

I once had a girl at work tell me "i watched a movie called "Ginger Snaps" last night, and it made me think of you." I could never figure out what the hell that meant, because A) I'm a dude and B) probably not a werewolf.

Really good movie, though!

Also i desperately want to see "MOON"!

I will throw one out there and see what people think: Danny Boyle's "SUNSHINE". I have yet to meet anyone else who has seen it, yet it's one of the most gorgeous science fiction films i've ever seen.

Anyone else experience that one? Does it qualify as obscure?

There's a Korean movie called No Vengeance for Mr. Niceguy or something along those lines, it is all subtitled, but it's one of those movies where everything is gonna end up all fucked up but you hope it isn't because you really feel sorry for the characters, it's a good watch.

Hmm.. is that the same was "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance"? The one with the deaf mute? It was very interesting!

JCVD (Jean Claude Van Damme) is a great movie, and a great dissection of celebrity. Jean Claude's a pretty good dramatic actor, too.

You know what? Fight Club.

I don't care if it qualifies as obscure, but it was weird and fucking awesome.
Hell yea! I think watching Fight Club, then American Beauty, can really make you think about just how unhappy people are in this cage we call society sometimes. My top two favorites, both very insightful and really entertaining to boot. If you ever get a chance to read the book by Chuck Pahliuk (spelling?) I'd highly recommend it.

Palahniuk, I believe.

I've read the book Fight Club, but is American Beauty another of his?

A) the girl thinks you are a werewolf or
B) a horny teenage guy

I have seen Sunshine. I really enjoyed it, but it really just felt like a clone of Event Horizon.

I don't know if it was always obscure, but most people don't seem to know about the Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence movie 'Life', which is both funny and moving.

Oh, and Clerks 2. Hilarious stuff right there.

Titan A.E.

Moonchild (Gackt stars in it, and it's amazing)

Dragonheart
Is Dragonheart obscure?
I would have said that it was just old and forgotten about.

Does that make it obscure even if it was popular in it's day?
I don't seem to remember it being that popular. There was a toy line, but I remember being the only kid I knew who'd seen it.
