Female gamers

Unfortunately, the girls I come across online are all incredibly annoying, obnoxious, and desperate for attention. Pretty much that Girl Gamer Syndrome.
I can't recall playing with any that didn't have the words girl, female, woman, sexy, or lady in their gamertag or Steam ID (there's a lot of that on forums, too).
They'd taunt people that they beat, act incredibly flirty (even to a squeaky twelve-year-old at one point), and soak up all positive responses they got from other players while continuing to be as cocky and generally as rude as possible. If they didn't have the skills to back it up, it's okay, because they're girls.
I'm not suggesting that all girl gamers are like this, since I know a few really kind ones. But my experience with random online ones has definitely sucked.

My girlfriend likes to play well-written RPG's but couldn't win a match in any console game to save her life. Gaming's not something we do in the same way, but at least she has no gripes about me playing The Witcher. Heck, she even bedded more women than me playing it since I managed to miss the dryad. And her best friend loves the Silent Hill series and Burnout 3 (she claims the later ones were not as good - too little destruction
But I can see why it's common for guys to get all worked up about girls who like gaming. I have Asperger's Syndrome, and that is something I believe is not uncommon among hardcore gamers - games have set rules and are therefore easier to relate to than the real world.
(Though since I was brought up to "act like all the other kids" (which was WAY difficult and downright painful to learn), it's hardly noticeable except in my head...which was a very confused place for most of my teenage years.)
We Aspies tend to be very awkward in social situations, and finding girls with common interests can be hard. The unfortunate combination of wanting someone who understands you, a direct way of thinking and a difficulty to understand the views of others makes for a harsh dating climate, and that direct way of thinking is probably what causes some of the friend requests and pickup attempts. Not saying that all people who do that have Asperger's, but the principle is related to my condition. I speak from experience - not some psychobabble textbook nonsense. If you have it I'm sure you KNOW what I mean, and can agree at least a little.
Anyway, that is the part I can identify and identify with. I'm sure there are other reasons for the way girl gamers are looked at, mainly machismo/sexism, but I wanted to make this point - it's not easy learning how to speak to girls when the real-life ones often have disdain for what they percieve as "geeky" interests. A gamer girl is therefore MUCH more interesting - I sure can relate to that.
(And "aspie" is not a derogatory term - since "Asperger" sounds like really bad fast food and "Whoops Wrong Planet Syndrome" is a bit cumbersome, I believe it is the preferred nomenclature.

chicks that like porn + video games are all right in my book. im currently trying to get my girlfriend to like both.

Agreeable to points. they are much more interesting to me as well, being a "geek" myself.
i just really don't like the overall condemnation to them from all of the "macho male" sides of the gaming population. Some people really would really enjoy the company of a chick playing a game, while the other just like to be "macho cool guys" and make fun of em all. -.-

And so they are not gamers they are fags that RUIN gaming.
